Our fading dialogue in America
« on: July 12, 2016, 03:12:18 PM »
So, I was just grumbling to my Dad about a bunch of things, bad meeting, 3 job rejections in my e-mail today and this anti-cop crap going on across the country. His response to me, "Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln?" The reason I post this is that I'm afraid in this era of texting we will lose the the abilty to be clever and witty with the english language when his generation passes. Nobody would text that nowadays. That's nine whole words. You know how we ask people how they are now? "S'up?" Isn't that clever. Myself I'm going to try to keep our langauge alive. TAFN
