:panic: Is Skins panicing already, They closed the DUmp to all but star members 2 1/2 hours before any polls close. This seems early to me.

My fellow alum Skins began shutting Skins's island off to all but registered members about 3:30 p.m. central time, as he said he would, and as he does every election day, excepting this time he's shut it down earlier than usual.
That probably means something.
Anyway, all members here with moles are encouraged to go over there and keep their eyes open.
It'd be nice if moles brought material back here too, but the priority should be simply to see what's happening, and if one's so inclined (all aren't) and the opportunity arises to cause some trouble over there, do it and tell us about it later. We can wait to hear of it; the priority's to discombobulate the primitives.
If one doesn't have time for formatting a primitive thread, just with one swipe copy-and-paste the whole thing to a personal message to me, and then I'll format and post it.

Wow, that is early. I was expecting around 6 or so. There wasn't all that much of entertainment over there anyway. Some DUmmie posted a thread asking, "Just for Tonite, can we please please not post a new thread for every random thought that crosses your mind?" :lmao: Good luck with that.

It was reported on DU Jr that the Dump was hacked. There was a Trump ad running on it for a while I guess. DU Jr is now down as well as you stated.

I don't know - but the Lookie-Lous here have dropped off substantially - It might be because they aren't getting to see despair here, and are heading for safe spaces, and it might be because my automated IP banhammer is indiscriminately killing off the naughtier participants.

Around 4:30pm on Tuesday November 8, Democratic Underground was hacked, apparently by a supporter of Donald Trump. This person clearly knew what they were doing, and despite our best efforts we have not yet been able to resolve the issues caused by the hack.
We do not believe that any member data has been compromised. And we are confident that donor data has not been compromised because that information is handled by PayPal and never passes through to our servers. But at this time we are unable to bring our discussion forum online.
The hack was clearly aimed to cause maximum disruption on our busiest night of the year, and we deeply regret that we won't be able to spend election night with our great community of members. We ask for your patience while we continue to work to fix this problem, and while we do not have a time frame we will do our best to get DU back online as soon as possible.
If anyone has any information about the hack, or has knowledge that might help us to fix it, please feel free to contact us: admin@democraticunderground.com
We will be posting updates on Facebook and Twitter.
We are deeply disappointed that this has happened. But we'll be back.
