How To Unistall Tren Micro?

I went to the unistall and unistalled it.. To my surprise when I started my laptop.. there is was in the toolbar..No longer listed in my programs either..still loads up ....

crap... been almost two years since I used Vista... I think it's control panel/programs/uninstall programs... see if it's listed there.

I did that.. It only comes up now when i start this thing up... It shows it has been removed...

Sounds virusy.  Have you ran any spyware progs?  Any virus progs?

You may also need to visit the trendmicro website for a removal tool.

Scanned and nothing found... I will now go to Trend Micro website :banghead:

UPDATE...... :banghead: I am now on other laptop.... I went to that website and did the uninstall toolkit it took out my internet settings cannot go online now with that one.. will wait until later this evening to try to fix it... ugh!

This is the kind of shit that really pisses me off!! Trend, like Norton and many others, have adopted the 'scorched earth' policies of Microsloth! Since they have lost engineering control of their codeset and cannot code against virus' & hacks in an agile manner, they block EVERYTHING globally or code their applications that install DLL's and executables in a bazillion different directories with registry settings and startup entrys that regardless if you run the uninstall and even delete the directory where the Trend application was installed, the fracking thing remains and runs on startup.

Hold down the 'Windows' key and press the 'R' key.
Enter msconfig

Select the startup tab.
Look for anything 'Trend' related and deselect it.

Reboot.

Hell, I just jump in "regedit", do a search for Trend or TrendMicro and delete everything I find. One has to be careful and double check the registry entries. Back it up before doing any editing, too. I did that for Norton. I DID, however have to search for two things, Norton and the again, Symantec. It takes a while deleting all of those keys.

I did a system restore last night on that laptop.. Now I need the password reset for the wireless router. I have a Linksys. I had the password to log on it says it is not the correct one. Is there a button on the back I can reset this function?
