Hair is timeless. 

You seem to forget the modern era of big hair got its start in the early 1960's.  Remember girls "ratting" their hair and them smoothing it down to a huge globe? 

BTW, Twiggy caused a lot of early deaths.  You can probably tie Twiggy to the death of Karen Carpenter.

Really, Linda Evans is the only one with "flash frozen" hair.  She looks like The Flying Nun after a rainstorm.
