Yeah Randy was great, without a doubt. One of the best ever.

But my vote goes to Eddy Van Halen. Absolute guitar genius. I know most people think Hendrix (who probably deserves it) or Clapton...but I just hate Eric Clapton. Every time "You Look Wonderful Tonight" comes on the radio, I want to puike...what a stupid, sappy song.

But you have to remember he also did BOTH versions of "Layla."  It isn't like he started "Wings" or something.
