This is, hands down, the most exciting thing that has happened to me since the book came out.

Even if I don't get a penny, at least I'll have put my best foot forward.


I've written a women's healthcare post that I am so completely proud of.

I've written a book that talks about the history of black children's books.

I'm working on a piece about black women mayors.

I'm weird, I know, I do not vote for someone for office because of the color of their skin or their reproductive plumbing. I vote for people with understanding of reality and solutions for problems (in last week's primary, that included persons of east and south Asian heritage and of Hispanic heritage, not that those heritages mattered for my vote).
