Why don't we ask Republicans in Senate...

Yes or No.

Do you favor a fascist government over a democratic one?

That seems to be the direction they're taking. Not only the Senate, but all the Trumpers out there. I think it's time to get right down to it. They're trying to chip away at democracy like Hitler did. I guess they figure if they do it that way, we won't notice until it's too late. We have to ask them, once and for all, do you favor an authoritarian government over democracy. If the senators don't answer the question, we have to ask Trumpers. I think that would be a better indication of where the wind blows.

2. You'll ever get a Yes or No answer out of them

But they'll go on at length about how we're the real fascists for even implying that they might be.

Fascists believe that liberal democracy is obsolete and regard the complete mobilization of society under a totalitarian one-party state as necessary to prepare a nation for armed conflict and to respond effectively to economic difficulties.

A fascist state is led by a strong leader such as a dictator and a martial law government composed of the members of the governing fascist party to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society.

Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature and views imperialism, political violence and war as means that can achieve national rejuvenation.

Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky (national economic self-sufficiency) through protectionist and economic interventionist policies.

The extreme authoritarianism and nationalism of fascism often manifests a belief in racial "purity" or a "master race", usually synthesized with some variant of racism or bigotry of a demonized other.

Wolf outlines ten steps that "closing societies" — such as Hitler's Germany, Mussolini's Italy, and Stalin's Russia — have historically followed. These steps, Wolf claimed, are being observed in America now.

The steps are:

Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
Set up an internal surveillance system.
Infiltrate and harass citizens' groups.
Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
Target key individuals.
Control the press.
Cast criticism as espionage and dissent as treason.
Subvert the rule of law.

4. They plan on protecting our democracy out of existence.

They're going to prevent election cheating by restricting voting until only proven republicans are allowed to vote. They may then still label it a democratic government.

5. They say no, they're not fascists, fascists are socialists.

That's how stupid and unlearned they are in general. I've had this argument many times, it's a common lie or deliberate misunderstanding for the right wingers, not sure which.

Stupid and unlearned, huh?

The fascist dictators of history would smile upon the indoctrination of children, the commandeering of social media to suppress opposing speech, the prospect of expanding the Supreme Court, the seizure of private citizens' guns (in their homes, no less), the encouragement to snitch on one's family members or neighbors, indefinite emergency powers, the notion that "the only truth is power", the spread of government propaganda by the press, and solitary confinement for protestors.

But is this what the left calls "fascism"?

No, they call resistance to these things "fascism".

Hitler and Musso were both socialists, just not Marxist Socialists. Musso had been a Communist, but both rejected the (sham, in the case of Leninist-Stalinist Communism) internationalist view of Marxist Socialism. Whether business owners and managers are slaughtered, like Lenin and Stalin did, or business owners and managers are golden-manacled slaves, as in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany, the only practical difference was that Lenin and Stalin killed the people who knew what they were doing while Hitler and Musso told those people what to do. Both variants of socialism were command economies that oppressed workers. Hitler had concentration camps, Lenin and Stalin had Gulags (the conversion of the Solovetsky monastery to Solovki prison camp began under Lenin).

For the primitives: I've read Mein Kampf twice and I'm not a fascist, just like I've read The Communist Manifesto and I'm not a communist. And with that out of the way...

In Mein Kampf, Hitler definitely states his preference to socialism as a preferred economic system and gov't, especially as opposed to parliamentarianism which he regarded as a joke. What Hitler didn't like was International Socialism as he believed the only way for socialism to truly be effective was to combine it with some type of national pride which would give it cohesiveness, thus National Socialism. But the core of his movement was the socialist idea.

I could go into great detail of how his time in Vienna and being in the trenches during WW1 helped form this ideology for him, but you leftist dolts need to start learning some things on your own for once.

Stalin favored Georgians and Russians; Ukrainians and various ethnic groups (e.g. the Chechens) he treated like crap, as he did the conquered Eastern European nations. Stalin's internationalism was a sham.

DUmmies proving yet again who the real "fascists'" are.

BTW DUmmies, we do not have a Democracy.

Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

Dems think we're a democracy, unless a majority want voter ID, immigration controls, or to balance the budget.

I don't know, do YOU?  Should the government be able to force me to get the vaccine?  That's a simple yes or no question I would like an answer to.

Once you answer that you'll have your answer if YOU favor an authoritarian government or a constitutional republic!

I see the new talking points have been distributed.

The OP is paraphrasing Mara Gray at the end of this clip:
