Gee. My adult son threatens to unfriend me on FB because of my vaccine promotion.
He and his partner are "vaccine hesitant" because it only has an emergency authorization.
He is not a wingnut. But he does live in Georgia where there's a lot of nuttery.
He and his partner are into the most obsessive "clean eating" trends. Nothing goes into the body that isn't judged pure by some rigid standards.
My response will simply be: "That would be sad for everyone."

8. My adult children think I'm too Catholic.
They embrace all the Catholic intellectualism and social justice stuff but without any excess baggage.
Yes, they are vaccinated.
I done good.

Sounds like Judy has been rather obnoxious with continual pro-vax posts. I'm half-vaxxed, so I'm obviously not anti-vax or "vaccine hesitant", but FB has been thoroughly tiresome with FB's own vaccine promotion.

How quickly they forget the dems who expressed skepticism of the 'rushed' Trump vaccines.

And just like that they love and trust big Pharma. :banghead:

And just like that they love and trust big Pharma. :banghead:
Last fall, before the election, LIEden and Kammie were telling Americans that the Trump Vaccine should not be trusted. Now LIEden is working trying to persuade the WTO that the vaccine companies who invested vast amounts of time and money should be screwed over by having their patents suspended until demand for their product dies off.
LIEden is smoke-screening punishing companies for working with the Bad Orange Man behind fake compassion.

Except that they are now trying to deprive big pharma companies of their intellectual property (instead of just buying more doses) and whitewash the fact that big pharma helped get us out of the pandemic.

Well, yeah, because you're an asshole about it.

What shows the depth of LIEden, et al's utter gross ignorance of the vaccines in use in the US is that they do not know that the two best, Moderna and Pfizer, are unique. Their production process is different from a traditional dead/inactivated virus vaccine (Sinovac and Sinopharm) or a virus vector vaccine (AstraZeneca and J&J). There are no production lines for mRNA vaccines "out there" sitting idle, because those are the first mRNA vaccines ever approved and put into volume production. So if LIEden, et al, steal Moderna's and Pfizer's intellectual property (IP), it will accomplish nothing for as many months as it takes to equip a factory and train people to produce the vaccine and then certify the factory's product.
Well, actually, that IP will accomplish one thing. It will make a government-industry partnership like Operation Warp Speed impossible. Because no pharmaceuticals company in its right mind will ever trust the US Government not to screw them over.
Then there's a foreign relations question ... AstraZeneca is a British/Swedish company and their vaccine was created by Oxford University, and the creator of the vaccine Pfizer produces and distributes is BioNTech, a German company. How pleased will the UK, Sweden, and Germany be that their companies' and university's IP was stolen by the US Government?
