Ok folks, here is the contrast with Katrina

We have a WORKING EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER... and disaster triage.

We have FEMA, NatGuard, locals, you know, working together.

This is the split screen the GOP probably feared.

Here is another difference Miss Shit-for-brains: Katrina was five to ten times the strength & size than this hurricane.

We also don't have the incredible incompetence of Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco.

We also have a storm that just barely, by the skin of its meteorological teeth, qualifies as a hurricane.

The crazy bald dwarf should look on the bright side, though.

With a foot of rain coming down, they're unlikely to have many brush fires.

And that's a good thing, since few of those Cajuns have Nomex shirts.

Gnads should report how many meters of rain they got.  :whatever:

Here's another difference: with Katrina, stupid Democrat governor Blanco didn't declare an emergency until after the fact, which PREVENTED FEDERAL HELP BY LAW. The Feds can't just drop in on people and take over, you dunt

Uh huh.

If George Bush had jumped in before then, the primitives would've been screaming about his "taking over," being a "dictator."

Primitives must have memories like a checkerboard; squares that are filled in, and squares that are empty.

And the vacant spaces are all deliberate, of course.  Even primitives aren't that stupid.  That malicious yes, but not that stupid.

Also to all the above the Governor declared a state of emergency a few days ago so FEMA could get geared up BEFORE the storm got there. As it always has it takes them 3 days to get going. Blanco declaring after the levee broke is why no help arrived fast enough for you DUmbasses.
Katrina was a complete and utter democrat cluster**** from the words Oh Shit.

There is no reason on Earth I can think of that any sane person running a newspaper should hire or pay her for her so called ability to report the news ,crunchy or otherwise. Then again it's Kalifornia .

Give us this day our daily nadin thread.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

She's not an employee, nor is she paid.
Small locals rely on volunteers to submit anything.

Hmmmm.

Maybe that's why Vlada Mitty hasn't been down to Ensenada yet, to report on what's happening.

It involves outside-of-San-Diego travel, and she's holding out for expenses.

I suppose it hasn't occurred to her she could take a risk--journalism involves risks--and go down there on her own dime, and then write up a really crunchy story that she can sell to a reputable newspaper, thus gaining street cred as a real journalist.

Note that it isn't even a small local newspaper.

It's just an obscure internet blog written almost entirely by Miriam Raftery, the moonbat lady who owns it.

Nutcase nadin's byline hasn't appeared for a couple of weeks, even though the blog has a section called "Wildfire News".

Maybe she's suspended until she makes that trip to Ensenada. She'll never make one damn dime contributing to that little moonbat blog.

I'll bet you didn't know nadin was a key person in the recovery from Hurricane Katrina.

She called Senators and got all that help from foreign governments.

Remember all that reconstruction in Louisiana and Mississippi that was done by foreign countries?

You can thank nutcase nadin.

9. Well I do not know about you

I do not remember an EOC back then... but I also remember placing calls to Senators and helping in the effort to bring foreign help...

"helping in the effort to bring foreign help"

That doesn't sound like any actual help to me.
