Would you support repeal of the Second Amendment?

Still early and most DUmmies are still zonked out.  I  suspect the "yes" vote will increase as the day goes on.

Not surprising since most DUmmies would favor repealing the first amendment for the opposition.

3. Yes. However, it will never ever happen.

I'm always amazed by 2nd Amendment proponents that feel ANY regulation is bad. They think everyone should own a gun... including nuts like the guy in CO and Loughner. What they fail to realize that, without regulation, their precious 2nd amendment would be seen as a grave public safety issue and would likely be repealed by popular outcry.

No. I believe that those that want to own a gun should be able to legally do so with some limitations.

4. Re work it at least.

Not as an individual right.

I don't have a problem with the 'regulated militia'.

Obama still hasn't gotten around to forming his armed militia, has he?  Or is that what all those guns for the IRS are for?

DUmpmonkeys don't understand the #2 protects #1, and by default, all the others.
Throw out #2, and the next on the block would be #1.
Stupid DUmpmonkeys.

These threads always come about after a tragedy. DUmmies think by getting rid of guns, and all other weapons for that matter, would prevent anyone from illegally getting them, and would prevent violent crime.

This, my dear DUmmies, is folly.

Just the other day, there was a video of a 70 year old man with a concealed carry permit putting an end to an armed robbery at a Florida Internet cafe.

I was cheering him on while I watched that! Not sure what the best part was, the fact that he shot one in the arse or them falling over each other getting out the door. :rotf: :rotf:

For anyone interested in the story.

You need 38 states to pass a repeal, which means that if 12 states were opposed, it wouldn't happen.  Now break out your map.  You see all of those states in the south and west (excepting CA, OR, WA, and HI)?  Now I know that this is going to be tough, so you may want to take off your shoes so that you can count big numbers, but once you do, you should find that there are far more than 12 states that will never support this(unless you get confused somewhere between three and four).  In other words, it's time for you to find a new wet dream.

I don't think they could get more than 4 or 5 states to go along.  I doubt if Illinois would go along with it.

It's never gonna happen unles Obumbles gets another 4 years, and declares another executive order. Then, the fun begins.

On another note, not just this thread, but most top threads at the DUmp are getting crazier, and crazier. Not going to bring anymore over, but I'm sure I'm not the only one reading, either.

This happened less than 2 miles from me. A fellow was running a weedeater in a pasture....probably cutting around fence posts or something...an Obama Son approached him, put a gun to his head and robbed him of $80....then stuck the gun in his wraist band and beat him....then finished by kicking him in the head several times and putting him in the hospital.

I will be packing "The Judge" for a few days or until Obama's Son is ....never mind, he'll be back on the street in no time. I'm getting to old to run or fight. I'm at the point where I have to let my fingers do the the running and fighting for me.

There are lots of threads at the DUmp blaming guns and the easy access to them for the current tragedy.

How many deaths could have been caused by a couple of small Molotov cocktails in a similar situation?  Gas and jars are even easier to get than guns.

Wow...the stupidity amazes me here. Had someone else been there who was practicing concealed carry, there would have been a different result. Criminals and sociopaths will continue to get away with stuff like this if we as a nation cannot defend ourselves. To paraphrase the saying 'when seconds count, the police are minutes away'. Just my 2 cents...

Colorado is a CCW State BUT the movie theater doesn't allow legal guns to be in the theater, can you imagine if they did allow it?

I would bet $10 the theater prohibited CCWs as a 'Safety policy,' assuming Colorado has CCW.

The wife and I planned to go to the movies tonight actually. I wonder if my local Carmikes allows CCW. Seriously doubt it but can't find any info on their site.

No way will I be sitting in a movie theater unarmed while a copycat asshole is gunning everybody down. Movie Theaters are a death trap for this sort of thing and if I can't carry it's best to stay home.

I decline to ask a state, much less a movie theater, permission to bear arms.  If I think it needs doing, it will be done, period.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by six...worst case, I will walk out of jail much easier than I could walk out of a morgue.
My CCW permit was issued in 1791.

More to the point, Aurora is a gang-infested shithole, and the Aurora PD will prone you out - at minimum - if they "discover" that you have a gun in your possession during any "routine traffic stop"; CCW permit or not.  Denver PD makes no bones about confiscating the weapon in the same set of circumstances; again, CCW doesn't matter to them.

Gang, they don't need to repeal the Second Amendment. It just has to go to the Supreme Court. The individual right to bear arms survived a 5-4 decision in D.C. vs Heller in 2008. We're one justice away from losing the right.

And I guarantee you another challenge will come up again in the next few years.

I hate to disagree but the shooter was covered head to toe with body armor. That means that someone would have to made a head shot on the guy while dodging a hail of bullets and trying to deal with gas and people scrambling for safety. Very unlikely.
