At A Business Today, I Turned Off 3 TV's - FOX Was On

it was in the lobby of the local Clear Channel office - I had to drop something off.

5. Was there anyone else watching them? If so, did you give them the

courtesy of suggesting/requesting channel change and/or teevee shutdown? Or, did you simply impose your preference on them.

If you were just dropping something off, were you going to stay and be exposed to the teevee? Could you have simply dropped your stuff off and left?

I cannot buy into the idea of "People are wrong if they don't think, do, watch as I do so I must impose my will upon them."

6. Televisions in public spaces are imposing on the public in the first place..

Not every member of the public wants to watch the same thing and those businesses that put televisions out are imposing their choices on what is often an unwilling audience.

I'm reminded of the time I went to a mental health professional and ended up walking out of their waiting room because they had a TV there that was tuned to Jerry Springer, the conflict on that show was unbearable to me in the precarious state of mind I was in at the time. My time and effort spent arranging an appointment, traveling to the location and returning home was wasted and my mental problems were exacerbated by over the top nature of the program on in the waiting room.

They are such children.
The fact that a TV playing a point of view they disagree with sets them off is so telling of how immature they are.
I may not lock my doors while sitting at a red light and a black man is near, but I sure as hell grab on tight to my wallet when any democrats are close by.

I think the next time I go shopping and venture into the electronics department, I'll see about putting all of the TV's on Fox News.  Seeing twenty or thirty TV's with FNC on should drive any local DUmmie into a manic rage.

Ah, who am I kidding, I don't care what channel a business prefers to have on their TV.

Nor do i, but who in the blue hell are they to do that. I'l tell the person "Turn it back on." if they refused, I'd give them one more chance. If they declined, I'd belt them in the mouth for general disrespect to the public. Then the DUmb shit could write about THAT on the Island. :censored:

I'm not buying for one minute that a psychiatrist's office had a TV blaring Jerry Springer.  Are you?  A psych office is more likely to have Mozart playing low in the background, if anything.

Since these goons lie all the time, you'd think they'd develop some talent for it.

Judging by the clearly unstable nature of his/her/its post, Fumesucker probably has a good case to sue for damages!!!!!

Hey, if they've been playing for untold hours, they're not new.
They're sold as 'display models' and you can usually get a 25-30% discount on them

Since when is a private business office considered a public space?  Freakin' idiots, all of 'em.

Quite a few years ago , we went to by a 32" TV, that was on sale for a little over $700. The only one they had left was the display model and they sold it to us for under $400 and through in extra years warranty.  This was at K Mart, no less.

Funny thing, I went to have one of my MRIs done (or CT scans, I forget). They had the TV on some girly channel. One other person was in the waiting room. I asked if they minded if I changed the channel. They had no problems as they said that they weren't watching it. I typically have the good manners to ASK before I do something, NOT inflict MY will on people. Most Liberals don't have any manners, have forgotten to say, "Please" and "Thank You" and in general, have forgotten any manners they may have been initially taught.

Ummm no dipshit.  The lobby of the local Clear Channel radio station cluster is not "public property".

It's the waiting area of a private business.
