CC and IE 7.0
« on: February 27, 2009, 07:12:35 PM »
For the last several days I have noticed that after a few hours of being logged onto CC, my page loads get slower and slower.

If I shut down the window and restart it, the slow page load issue goes away, but returns a couple hours later.

I post on several other MBs and I am not having similar issues with them.

Is anyone esle here seeing the same type of issues?  It seems to happen most often in the early evening hours like now.  At first I though it might merely be a CPU or memory issue on the server.  But since the issue seems to go away for a while after I restart the browser window, I doubt it is a server issue.

Perhaps I'll switch to Firefox and see if the issue continues.

Thoughts anyone?

I would suspect that either your cache properties are set wrong, or your computer has insufficient memory.

just for grins and giggles, download google chrome here, and try again.

how much memory do you have, by the way?

I have 3 Gb of RAM memory.  I am currently using 42% per Task Manager.

Why is google Chrome better than Firefox?

it is just newer, and therefore "cleaner" than even firefox.  I am a huge advocate of firefox, however.  my entire company uses FF as their default web browser.

windoze balks when memory consumption exceeds even 30%, in my experience.

That doesn't explain why CC is the only board I am seeing this particular issue on.

It is most likely an issue on my side.  But I am a loss to explain why.

I'l try Firefox and see if the issue follows.

Rich, are you on cable or DSL?? I know cable data network infrastructure extremely well. Let's start there.

Secondly, which sites are working well for you and are there others that are having latency problems??

I'm on cable.  This is the only site I have been experiencing this particular issue on.
