New York’s Gov. Hochul is stupid, but even she isn’t this stupid. The trouble is that no New York Democrat can actually state the obvious which is that the Biden administration’s policy of keeping the border open and shipping illegal invaders across the country is behind this disaster. NYC’s Mayor Eric Adams has come closest to saying it and come under fire for it. Gov. Hochul is further away from the crisis and she can’t afford to be less popular.

So Hochul can suggest that the border needs to be controlled, but that it’s the fault of Republicans that it isn’t.

“Well, we want them to have a limit on who can come across the border. It is too open right now,” Hochul said. “People coming from all over the world are finding their way through simply saying they need asylum. And the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York. And that is a real problem for New York City, 125,000 newly arrived individuals. And we are being taxed.”

“We are always so proud of the fact that New York has the Statue of Liberty in our harbor. We are one of the most diverse places on Earth because of our welcoming nature, and it’s in our DNA to welcome immigrants. But there has to be some limits in place. And Congress has to put more controls at the border and not in this budget threat, shutdown threat, talk about eliminating positions for Border Patrol when we actually need to double or quadruple those numbers. So, get back to work and do your jobs,” the governor added.

It is Biden's open border policy that is the problem. New York wanted to be a Sanctuary State and New York City wanted to be a Sanctuary City. How is that working out, eh?

Democratic Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker called out President Joe Biden over his lack of support as the state grapples with surges of migrants in a Monday letter obtained by The New York Times.

Pritzker asked Biden to waive application fees for migrants seeking protection, to increase communication with the state over migrant transports and to provide more financial support, according to the letter. “Unfortunately, the welcome and aid Illinois has been providing to these asylum seekers has not been matched with support by the federal government,” Pritzker wrote in the letter. “Most critically, the federal government’s lack of intervention and coordination at the border has created an untenable situation for Illinois.”

Meanwhile, a nonstop flow of migrants crossing the southern border illegally continues. Border Patrol encounters of illegal migrants in 2023 is set to surpass the previous year’s record of 2.2 million.

Illinois wanted to be a Sanctuary State and got their wish.

Criminal With 66 Prior Arrests Shoots And Kills Father Of 3 Who Was On His Way To High School Reunion, Cops Say

A man with 66 arrests on his record shot and killed a father of three who was on his way to his Tennessee high school class’s 20th reunion Thursday night, police say.

Christopher Wright, the 38-year-old victim, was seen on surveillance video in downtown Chattanooga engaging in an argument with the alleged killer, Darryl Theophilus Roberts, and another man before he walked away, the New York Post reported. Wright then turned around to say something at which point Roberts walked up to Wright and shot him in the head, police told the outlet.

Wright was taken to the hospital where he died, while Roberts fled the scene, the Post reported. Roberts was captured by police the following day, per the Post, and faces a first-degree murder charge, WTVC reported. His bond was set at $5 million, the outlet noted.

Democrat Sen Menendez's wife hit, killed pedestrian while driving in 2018: reports

Nadine Arslanian Menendez, wife of recently indicted Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., struck and killed a man while driving her Mercedes-Benz in New Jersey in December 2018, according to police reports obtained by local media.

She was found not at fault for the incident because the man, identified as Richard Koop, was jaywalking when he was hit, according to the New York Times and The Record. She was not given a DUI test at the scene and was immediately allowed to leave after providing a brief statement, according to dashcam footage of her interaction with Bogota police.

Arslanian — who was alone in the vehicle — was dating Menendez at the time of the fatal crash, which reportedly left Koop's body severely mutilated, according to the Bergen County medical examiner.

Menendez commented on the incident to reporters Wednesday.
