My co-workers mom passed away because there was no bed in the hospital
to take care of her heart condition. She was left in a hospital hallway for two days waiting for an echo test that was never done. My co-worker is completely devastated and so angry.

We need to shun the anti-vaxxers from the public and society. They ARE killing people. I'm so broken for her. This country is just jacked.

This event did not occur. (https://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=15942705)

Complete and utter horseshit. Hospitals don't leave people waiting for tests in hallways for two days.

What we need to shun is lying assholes from the internet, but then again it would be a lot less entertaining for me.

NOT ONE PERSON in the responders said, "Hey, your friend might have a malpractice and negligence claim against the hospital." Because they know it's all bullshit.

Don't forget all the corpses down in the morgue sitting up and applauding...

Democrats Introduce 'Medicare For All Except The Unvaccinated' Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Many Democrats have been pushing for what they call Medicare for All—making the Medicare program available to every American—for years, but the pandemic has caused them to rethink this proposal.

“I used to love the idea of universal health care,” Senator Bernie Sanders said, “but then I realized there are lots of people I don’t want to give health care to, so we needed a proposal that reflects that.”

Now a number of Democrats have introduced a new bill: Medicare for All Except the Unvaccinated. It’s just like Medicare for All, but instead of providing health care for all Americans, it explicitly denies health care to anyone who doesn’t get a COVID-19 vaccine.

“And it’s very forward-looking,” said Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the world’s smartest socialist, “because it has provisions so we can later deny health care to people who don’t get enough booster shots. This is great because while I realized I like giving away free stuff, I don’t like giving it to people who don’t do what I tell them.”

While initially only the unvaccinated will be denied health care, there are proposals to expand that group, such as anyone who won’t apologize for voting for Trump or who doesn’t like Critical Race Theory. The hope is that by denying people health care, Democrats can get people to change their views. Or those people will die, which is just as good.

If you read through the comments, it’s what they’re saying, and it’s what they’ve been saying for the past year or longer now.

That only happens in hospitals under socialized medicine.

Geezus H, man...
How damned stupid do these people think we'd have to be to believe that steaming pile of HS?
Sure thing, they are gonna leave someone with a serious cardiac issue on a bed in a hallway and not make them a priority.
I just don't even know what to think of these imbeciles anymore... talk about a damned cult.

If onecaliberal, the cases and deaths data at my usual source, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/california/ , is insanely inconsistent with the DU OP claim. Even at the peak of the current surge, August 31, that day's new cases number was 1/3 of the second word day in the winter surge, January 8. Further, the worst day's deaths, September 15, was ~3/10 of the worst winter surge day, January 21. So both in numbers of cases and in deaths, the current surge's worst days were a third or less than what California hospitals managed in January 2021. And the peak of the current surge was 4-6 weeks ago.

If (s)he's from California, onecaliberal's :bouncy: is so stupidly false that it doesn't even merit a Cool Story Bro.

no shit.

About 6 years ago I suddenly started feeling sharp pains in my chest around 8AM.  Wasn't sure what caused it and in the back of my mind I wondered if it was a heart attack.  Not wanting to accept I was having a heart attack I went on with my day.  The pains didn't increase or decrease but were a constant companion thruout the day.  Finally around 3PM I googled "heart attack symptoms".  While I did have some of the symptoms listed, I didn't have them all but decided to stop by the Kaiser ER on the way home.  There were around 15 people in the ER waiting room so I almost turned around to go home but the woman at the admittance desk saw me and asked If she could help me I mentioned I was having some chest pains.  Apparently this was the magic term and I was immediately taken to a ER bed and given a series of tests.

Long story short, it wasn't a heart attack.  The Doctor said I must have pulled a muscle or something but not having a heart attack.  So I really fail to understand how anyone with any kind of heart condition would be forced to lie in a hallway for 2 days without receiving the tests that may save their lives unless they were in north korea or some other socialist shithole.

Apparently this was the magic term - It most certainly is the magic word. Cardiac complaints are in the high priority list. Theres no time for screwing around if there is a potential issue. Someone can go from a complaining to dead inside a couple of minutes, so they don't take chances with it, ever.

So I really fail to understand how anyone with any kind of heart condition would be forced to lie in a hallway for 2 days - That's the point, it didn't happen. People would be getting their assess sued off all over the place in between the firings if something like that actually happened... which it didn't.

21. The Republicans are waging biological warfare against the United States.

I'm sorry that they killed your co-workers mom.

Wrong.  It was China that killed onecaliberal's imaginary co-worker's imaginary mom.

Could easily have happened in Kalifornia. Letting minor illness illegals go ahead of major illness American citizens is not the norm but very common... and I'm sure to be the norm very soon.
