Cool, I take it daily for a deficiency so that explains some things.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I started posting uncontrollably on a internet forum.....

Yes.

It hit me on Monday.

I have gotten a flu shot for 30 years and this is the first time it has hit me. It's a nasty bugger. The constant coughing makes it unbearable. Lack of sleep is taking its toll. This is the first time in three days that I have been able to sit up for 5 minutes.

To make matters worse, my Dog had two molars pulled yesterday. She's moaning and groaning wanting her pain meds.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I've had the respiratory crud starting it's 4th week tomorrow.  :bawl:

The first week...there was a day or two I thought I needed a tube inserted into my lungs so I could breathe. I know it's gross to say, but I didn't know it was possible to produce that much snot.  :thatsright: At least it was clear, so it was only mildly gross...  ::)

Last week I pulled a muscle in my back from coughing, and my rib cage just aches all the time from the coughing.

Now, I still have the cough and I'm still exhausted. I allergic to codeine and those little golden pearl things make me sick too. Thank God for Halls originals and Honey Lemons, because they are the only thing that keep me from coughing up my toes.  :banghead:

I've talked to people who have this and some are on their 3rd and 4th round of antibiotics. Others have said their doctors have only given them stuff for the cough, because they've figured out the antibiotics won't make a difference, "it has to just run it's course".

Just how long is the "course"? I feel like I've already done several marathons.....  :bawl:

Exactly. I can wake up and feel somewhat decent, start doing stuff, and then all I want to do is sleep again.

Last night was the first night I had worked since last Wednesday night, so I hadn't seen anyone in a week. They all told me I looked exhausted and my eyes looked awful. Gee ... thanks.  :bawl:

This time of year, I usually refer to it as the 'air conditioning flu' because they always turn on the AC at work and stir up a bunch of dust, but this is just ridiculous.  It's starting to scare me because it won't go away.  I've been through my home and checked (almost) everything.  The only thing I haven't gotten under control is the dust.  I guess that's next.

Honestly, Tucker, it was towards the end of the first week, when I talked to the two women who had had it for 3.5 and 4.5 weeks and I thought "no way!!" I'm not that sick.

Ha! I had about 2 days where I was ready to cry, because I felt so shitty. M came in to check on me at one point and started rubbing on my lower leg, trying to be comforting. Bless his heart, I just snarled at him...."don't touch me!" It felt like he was rubbing on raw nerves.

Amazingly, he has not gotten it, but he drinks lots of milk, apple and grape juices. I did talk him into getting some Airborne to try to prevent getting it too. Knock on wood, he won't get it....

Do you all live in the same area?  Haven't heard of anything like this on the left coast......yet.

I'm thinking this may be a different bug, not the one that was going around last fall that the news was going on about.

It isn't the flu.

Chris and I are about 2.5 hrs apart.

The flu is bad news. I have been taking oregano oil 70%, 4 drops 4times a day in V-8 juice. I work in the public. I also take care of sick people and haven't got it yet.

If you do take medicine, take your oil an hour before or after your medicine. Oregano oil inhibits viruses, bacteria, parasites, candida yeast and is antimicrobial.

Worth a try.
