Lady Freedom Returns (6,113 posts)

Well, I kinda met someone, OK I met them earlier, but I was with my ex at the time and really just left it as friends. He has showed some romantic interest now that my ex is out of the picture. He has invited me to come stay at his place on the reservation.

He is six foot, right out of a darn Harlequin Novel! If he ends up making a move... I don't know if I will want to say no.

Stay downwind, and he won't . . . right away, that is. :runaway: :puke:

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

Chase her.
Chase her even when she's yours.
That's the only way you'll be assured to never lose her.

Yep. She has been on the road for 10 or 12 days now so she should be getting rather ripe for the plucking.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

RIGGGGHT, now perhaps I will make some people angry but I am so tired of all these make believe , want to be decedents of the Aborigines that Europe found  hundreds of years ago on this continent.

To put it mildly, I after YEARS of running into both men and woman that claim decent from usually the Cherokee Nation,  I have met only a small few that were in fact at least 1/4 Indian and they were either from Canada or one woman a pure bread Navajo from Gallup NM.

I worked with one woman that insisted I was part Indian because I have high cheek bones.   What a crock of sh*t, we have not had any Indians in these parts since the early 1800 and I do not think racial traits go that far back.

My complaint is Like the Australians who for years felt as a mark of shame their Ancestors came to that Continent as murderers and thieves, unwanted by the English Government, today it is a badge of PRIDE to have been descended from them.

As in the long time Black race living here few races have managed to keep their racial ancestry intact.
The Indians that do so in the USA or Canada, are the very elderly and are treated shamelessly by the Mongrels in the group.

Just one thing or another group to choose to be part of, but, one goes to the PowWows held in the summer, it is difficult to find anyone without blond, red or brown hair with the slight curve to the eye that is a trait.   I just hate it to see someone with round eyes claim to be Indian.

As Elaine on Seinfeld said  " fake, fake, fake, fake"

Thank you.  It's been 6 years this Sunday, so we are able to put some distance and perspective to the situation.  I can't agree with your sentiment more.  My darlin says that all of Nathan didn't come back home, and that's the dang truth.  His son is near 12 years old, and won't ever personally know what a fine and brave man his Dad was.  After all of his tours (4) come to find out, his worst enemy was his own self.  I get pretty riled up when people throw out PTSD as an excuse for their inability to cope with what are simply just bad experiences.  Mind you, my life has seen it's fair share of crappy stuff, some people might actually call some bits tragic, but that's just life.  Period.

Yep Nathan Was a fine man and Great Soldier as well. The first time I met him....was MUCH different than the last time I saw him, there was 3 tours in between those times. Every time he came home he was different to the point of almost unrecognizable. He had a tough job and was good at it. His best friend was at his side most of the time in battle, including leave and he would tell me of the things Nathan did. I tell you the VA did him a grave disservice for all he had done for this country with the lack of treatment he received. Nathan's soul did not come home from Iraq. He was a good man and I miss talking with him.

About as well as one  might expect from the female version of Maynard G. Krebs, I'd imagine.

Your example is a good example why the over use of using PTSD as a diagnosis for people that simply lack ambition pisses me off. I can't imagine what you have been though. My gosh.  :bawl:

I got to page 3 before deciding this whole thing is too disturbing for me. Seeing a pic of her, and then knowing the fantasy is just too much. I ESPECIALLY didn't want to think about her fingers being stinky as she was concocting this fallacy;.  :argh:

Stinky or sticky? Or both?  :fuelfire:

Yes it was. I didn't really know him as well as Tots did (she was roommates with his significant other) but I thought he was a Fine man and one hell of a soldier. He had some stories and he had a love for his country...He told me once he would do as many tours AS NEEDED! He wasn't going to give up.

More like this one. She thinks that he has to like her because he doesn't run away.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.
