Power came on at the 37 hour mark, and all is well, except we'll be eating tuna and peanut butter until I get to the store (waiting for roofer right now). 

I never once felt that I was living in a third world country, but I did, for a very brief moment, want to send my hubby to one.  :rofl:

You just reminded me, I need to get a generator.

Just a suggestion for those with, or planning on buying a generator.
It's a good idea to add STA-BIL to the fuel tank, especially if you're in an area that only sells "goofy gas".

Yeah, she finally just had to "put her meat down".

Dropping the bad meat in front of him. :-) If it was $10 a pound WAL-MART steaks it probably didn't influence him much but if it was some $150 a pound deer meat he had killed...now that would get him moving.

They put something in the gas tank filler tube years ago to stop thieves from stealing gas....so now they just knock a hole in the bottom of your gas tank to drain it.

We will be in the market for a generator after we get moved into our house.  We have only lost power for a couple of hours after a big storm in Phoenix since living in the desert.  Never lost power in Las Vegas yet.  But I know if it ever happens, it would more than likely happen in the summer when we need that power the most.

I was thinking earlier today and wondered if this is what the average DUmmie is like, then how in the Hell do they think they are going to win the next Civil War/Revolution? They can't even be bothered to get a generator let alone prep for a storm.
