Omaha Steve (31,132 posts)

I will be away a few days
My mom is ok. She is still in the hospital. I came home sick today to other bad news. My family is going through a rough time.

Remember that DUmmies lie, all the time and every time, DUmmies lie.

Nevertheless, best wishes to the Weeper's family.

None at all to the self-professed socialist Steve Dawes.

Like all socialists and DUmpmonkeys, he can go to hell.

Health and family issues will cause Steve Dawes to withdraw from the race.

He didn't have it in him...

I wonder if the DUmmies are capable of putting 2+2 together and seeing the inevitable.
Steve never intended to run.
Going door to door must have been too much for him to bear.

Standing on a street corner with a cup in his hand and a sign "Contribute to my Campaign" didn't work out so well, huh....so it's on to the next scam/con.

You know, I really think my fellow Nebraskan should pull out.  Now.  Drop it.  Call it quits.

He hasn't been doing himself any favors ever since he first announced his candidacy on a less-than-reputable, less-than-respectable, less-than-credible, website, as compared with a more-professional venue, such as in the front office of the Sarpy County Democrat party, or at a press conference for the Sarpy County news media.

But no, he has to announce it on, of all places, Skins's island, well- and widely-known as a hate site.

It's true that by withdrawing now, Omaha Steve would be subject to some, oh, some catcalls and jeering, including from us, but those would be short-lived and over with quickly--probably in a few days--whereas if he persists in running, well, there's ten months of that ahead for him.

There's pain in it either way, but one way is considerably less pain, less embarrassment.

It doesn't work that way with either party in Nebraska, until after the primary winners are known.  Both parties have long-standing traditions and policies of "hands off" until someone's officially a candidate.

And remember, Omaha Steve may yet get a Democrat opponent, in which case he'd be eliminated in mid-May, because a second Democrat's not likely to hang around with the primitives on Skins's island.

If Omaha Steve has an Achilles' heel (of course he has as many as a centipede would have, if centipedes could have Achilles' heels), it's that he doesn't excite a whole lot of interest among Democrats (or anybody else) in Nebraska.

Remember, he couldn't even get his best friends in the union to vote for him for that one lowly union position.

One wonders what the fecund grasswire primitive means, when she comments at that campfire, "We've got your back, Steve."

One wonders who's after my fellow Nebraskan's back.

I'd say at least in Nebraska that most Democrats are to smart to go near DU and that they avoid it like it was Chernobyl right after the meltdown. Also one of his many faults is that he can't keep his mouth shut on DU and  dispite any attempt to help him on your behalf he still post the most ignorant things and then whines when called out on them like some toddler caught in the act of doing something naughty.

Exactly.

Omaha Steve is the classic primitive, the stereotypical primitive, the textbook primitive, in that he thinks that when he says or does something, the only consequences it'll have are those consequences he wants them to have.

My fellow alum Skins is of course the perfect example of this; things will have only the consequences he wants them to have.  Skins is smarter than that, and should know better than that, but apparently doesn't.

Never mind that all things have unanticipated, unplanned for, and sometimes unpleasant, consequences.

The same reason toddlers don't seem to notice that sound travels (when they are doing something wrong) is the same reason The Weeper hasn't figured out that information he posts on a public website on the internet travels, too.

Home sick, family tragedy.... NOTHING keeps him from his dedication to posting at the DU.   If that doesn't qualify him for public office then I just don't know what will people.

Nah. Steve, we won't be angry at you. We will just laugh when you prove us right and drop out of the race.

Of course we will NEVER let you forget it...But you won't catch heck with anyone here.

If you want a good example, No one here is afraid of StinkyTheClown's mafia connections. But we love to laugh at the idiot things he says...in short he isn the laughing stock of the internet.

It's the same with you, Steve. No one gets angry at a laughing stock. We just point at you and laugh.
You have NO money and not much time...are you knocking on doors and talking to voters yet? Why not?
Oh yeah, you're all sickipoo.

Its just sad that we know you so well. Prove us wrong and do some campaigning...I know elbow grease, hard work and sweat are strange and scary things to shiftless union workers...but its part of the job for elective office.

I don't know about that, coach. How long ago did Pitt quote Ty the bouncer? Or introduce us to a bottomless rage? Or try to seduce Kevin Spacey?

How long ago were we introduced to the CalPig's infamous aching seed? Or blink, blink, blink, blink?

How long ago did Pam try to screw the cruise ship bartender? Or have her brush with death at the laundry  mat.

Some things just don't blow over.

DUmmy TwixVoy is gone, but if he ever comes back, all his exploits as a Target melon baller uncrater will surely come up again.

I think the self-avowed socialist Steve Dawes should run his campaign right down to the bitter end.

Never gonna happen.
