Not 1940 take it back to 1932-34---- Had the Jews been armed then history could have changed drastically.
Yes the sight of that tent to gas people did raise my hair and wonder why the police had such a thing.
This is not good, the people unless they are insane will begin to arm themselves. Cannot blame them, when they protest peacefully and are met with force, pepper sprayed and gassed in tents, some of them are going to become very angry and the non violent will head to the other extreme.
We seem to be pushing the nonviolent into becoming the violent, for self preservation. WTF those who may become a pain in our ass but are peaceful can be become converted into what some call freedom fighters.
So protesters take a block or 2 of city property to damage and destroy for a few months, as long as they are nonviolent this is just a small page in history. Sooner or later they will go away.
However when force is enacted against them, hard force then some will react in a violent way and gather like minds to protest in violent ways. Excuse, we tried the non violent way only to be met with force', our own government attacked us, now we are armed and dangerous.
The government needs to tread carefully, people take over a park, allow them to stay, when it gets so filthy and horrid they will leave, even the homeless will not stay there.
Better to just leave these folk alone then turn them into urban terrorists. They will leave when they get cold and hungry.
