15. I *think* that alerted posts get sent to a random jury pool.
   And the jury decides if it's worth locking or deleting or whatever.

I haven't yet sat on a jury, so I'm not completely sure that's how it works, but that's what I'm getting from people commenting on it. You can also opt out if you don't want to make those decisions.

I can see DU turning into a real lovefest with everyone who doesn't like or agree with a post locking down hundreds of threads.

Meanwhile 150,000 or so DU'ers will flee for saner and more democratic discussion pastures!

It's not a jury. It's one or two radicals that hate everything, everybody has ever posted on DU3 and are now taking revenge!.

That is amazing though, that many locked threads.  It makes it look like a...what?  An insane asylum for the most serious cases.  No cheerful breakrooms with The Price is Right on the TV, no supportive group sessions.  Only meds and straps.

Well, that too was big, along with the passing of Chief S itting Bull this year, and now the passing of the worthless freeloading bum the wily primitive.

I'm not sure, really, what the "big event" was on Skins's island this year.

For years, when doing the Top DUmmies thing, I contemplated adding a category, the "biggest event" (such as the bobbling primitive getting the Bostonian Drunkard temporarily exiled from Skins's island back in 2009), but just never got around to doing it.

Tried again a minute ago because the info was great.
They restricted access now.

That means that suicide runs will get scrubbed even faster than before. Also, that they really want to limit the amount of truth allowed to be posted at DU3.
