I hope his family find peace and comfort in the knowledge that that angry son of a bitch has gone on to a better place. All is forgiven in Christ. Through Christ, we are all forgiven.

Must have been a shock to wake up next to a corpse.  Condolences to Mrs. Redstone.

I know a guy who claims he does that every day.  :naughty:

Do they have a best of Redstone collection up yet?

Redstone's timely demise has all the earmarks of a TomInTib black op.

TiTtyboy once travelled coast-to-coast on a mission intended to extract money from his old buddy, his old pal, his old partner in music and illegal drugs.

By all indications, DUmmy Redstone told him to piss up a rope.

A fake ex-Seal never forgets.

Wasn't Redstone the DUmmie that was always falling down and breaking various bones?  It seems like he was very accident prone.

That was him, Chief S itting Bull.

By the way, the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive was 57 years old, leaves behind him a wife and two sons, and the services are on Tuesday, November 8.

Oh my.

I'm sure some here might remember when Redstone talked about this on Skins's island:

Quote
Crusader Seeks To Rid His Town Of Street Spam
February 6, 2002

By CLAUDIA VAN NES, Courant Staff Writer

OLD SAYBROOK -- [Redstone] grabs his pliers and utility knife and half-jokes to his wife Shirley he's "going out to get 'em."

With a swift tug, a blaringly yellow sign with thick black lettering: "Work at Home" is torn from a utility pole along Boston Post Road and stuffed in [Redstone]'s car trunk. The same fate awaits an identical sign farther along the road.

"They're ugly litter and no one has a right to make this town ugly," says [Redstone] who at 6 feet 4, with thick dark hair in a pageboy, a walrus mustache, a Stetson on his head, cowboy boots on his feet and a colorful way of talking has a certain buccaneer style befitting his crusade.

Since last summer, when he'd finally "had it" looking at the proliferation of "Work at Home" and "Lose 30 Pounds in 30 Days" placards plastered along busy streets everywhere, [Redstone] has ripped down more than 1,000 signs.

He's got the law on his side. A 53-year-old state statute prohibits postings on power poles or anywhere else on public land and so does a 21-year-old town ordinance.

In fact, according to the lively Dallas-based website, Citizens Against Ugly Street Spam, similar laws as well as the common law of the land make these signs illegal everywhere.

[Redstone], 48, is a director of the street spam group and a frequent contributor to the website's rabble-rousing chatroom.

More than 90 percent of the signs, usually made of corrugated, non-recyclable plastic bought for about $3 each, are put up by people connected to Herbalife.

This international company, based in Los Angeles, is a 20-year-old giant among multilevel sales operations. Its products are dietary supplements but the signs posted on utility poles don't mention a company; they either promise quick weight loss or an at-home business with a phone number or website to contact.

These websites that open with pictures of sports cars, speedboats, Florida mansions and smiling people, don't mention a product or company, either. They instead urge you to call or sign up for more information, but [Redstone] and others have traced the signs to Herbalife.

While he is not an admirer of this particular business, [Redstone] said he doesn't care if the signs advertised "Mother Teresa's favorite charity. They're still ugly." And, he adds, he started his own advertising business, [Redstone] Communications, in 1991 "with $700 in the bank and a Sears credit card to buy the Mac and I didn't plaster signs up everywhere. Why should anyone think they have the right to?"

[Redstone] has been able to obtain e-mail addresses and phone numbers for some of the people who've put up signs but even so he said he seldom gets them on the phone. Mainly, he leaves messages telling the offenders they've broken the law and that he will continue to tear down their signs whenever he sees them - usually along the shoreline between Niantic and Branford.

The "street spam" is put up at night mainly on Fridays and Saturdays and neither [Redstone] nor the Old Saybrook police has ever spotted a perpetrator.

[Redstone] was too busy on Saturday to deal with several new "Work at Home" signs he spotted on Main Street. On Sunday, when he returned to remove them, "miracle of miracles," they were gone, he said.

Those signs, it turns out, were taken down by the police who'd gotten a call from First Selectman Michael Pace.

"I can't stand those things," he said, although he advises people to call the police as he did and not take the law into their own hands.

Sgt. Cliff Barrows agreed Tuesday, saying the police take down these placards and other such signs and warn people, including those putting up tag sale signs in public places, that it is illegal. A $50 fine could be levied, according to the state statute and town ordinance, though Barrows said he doesn't think one has ever been issued.

The poles used in this area are owned by either Southern New England Telephone Co. or Connecticut Light and Power but the utilities don't enforce the law.

"That's up to the authorities. We do periodically remind customers not to post anything on the poles because the nails can be dangerous to linemen," Carla Francis, spokesperson for Northeast Utilities, said Tuesday.

"We've tried to call some of the numbers on the signs but didn't get them on the phone. It's not our top priority; our business is to keep the power on," Francis said.

It is a priority of [Redstone]'s, however. "Once I get my teeth into something, I don't let go," he said.

Sorry for his family and friends; at the end of the day what we say matters little, it's how we impact the lives around us.

That was a classic, those fisticuffs when he shot off his mouth election night to the wrong person.

It took him a long time to recover; he was beat up pretty bad.

Does this free him up to go on uber secret covert operations for the US Government. Him and Tom can team up to be a super zombie hit squad taking out right wing leaders. It could never be traced back to obama.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

There's rather, uh, overmuch Redstone threads on the front pages of the DUmpster at the moment, so I'll just add these:

Redstone designs his gravestone (December 2005)

What words do you want to have carved on your gravestone?

I figure if I go relatively soon, "You knew I was too good to last, didn't you?" ought to cover it; or conversely if I make it to 90 or so, "They were right about only the good dying young" would catch the random cemetery visitor's attention.

Your ideas?

6. I was shooting pool at the Rec Center here in town. There were a half-dozen teenagers sitting at one of the tables, and one of them must have been huffing glue or something; the kids in this town are for the most part good kids and real polite. But this one was "**** this, **** that, **** the other mother****ing thing" loudly, and when the woman who works at the rec center went over and told him to leave (there were younger kids in the room too), he told her "**** you, bitch," and pushed her. I walked over and said "you need to leave now" and he took one of those retracting flat box-cutter things out of his pocket and said "**** you too" while coming toward me, so I speared him in the gut with the pool cue, then broke the fat end of the cue across his face. He dropped like a stone, the cops came and took him to the hospital, asked everyone questions, thanked me for making sure he didn't cut anyone though at the same time telling me I should have called them first, like there was time for that. I checked later and he only has a broken nose so at least I didn't crack his skull, and I'm glad for that. It's been a long damn time since I've done anything like that and it was indeed self-defense, there wasn't a damn thing else I could have done, but still did not make for the best day. Thanks for listening.

Redstone talks himself out of suicide (January 2008)

OK, enough of this "suicide" nonsense. Just enough.

(Except for Mrs Grumpy, who is from this moment exempt from any commentary from me that might bother her or make her feel worse, because Lord knows I'd never want to add to her burden.)

God damn it.

You may have had those thoughts.

You may have tried it.

But as long as you have even ONE living relative, friend, or any other person who would miss you if you were gone before you should have been, you CANNOT punk out on those people.

No, you have to stay here and suffer with the rest of us. Like it or not.

Get used to that concept, because it's not going to go away.

I'm here at 2:17 in the morning because I can't sleep. The pain won't let me. But I'll be *******ed if I'll release myself from that pain and by doing so make others suffer worse pain in the aftermath. I will not.

Nor should you.

I've carried four words with me for years, whenever I was crossing a bridge: I have a family.

I'll bet that you do too.

I would bet that even the most gullible DUmmie on Skins Island recognized that this is a complete work of fiction.  They just couldn't say it out loud because, to do so, would be to question the integrity of a prominent DUmbass.  So they heap praise and pretend to empathize in order to remain safely within the herd.

I'm not sure I doubt Chief S itting Bull's DU suicide note thingy talking himself down, but holy crap! That's fairly disturbing. If you don't know that it isn't rational to post something like that on an internet forum...well, I don't know what to day. There are no words.
