I have a question.

Do you remember “bravenak,” your fellow primitive, who evaporated some weeks ago?

You know, dude; the primitive who got a mysterious letter in the mail, allegedly threatening all sorts of violence and harm upon her.  It’s been a while, so I don’t remember all exactly what was in it; only that many of your other fellow primitives conjectured that she was now in great peril, probably from a deranged Bernie bully on Skins’s island.

And then you vowed to find the author of the missive.

Well dude, it’s been a long time now, and while you haven’t been too busy to hang around on Skins’s island, apparently you’ve been too busy to find the culprit menacing the bravenak primitive.

And here, you’d promised you’d do that…..and without the help of anybody else.

I don’t think there’s as much “I” in your “Q” as you think there is, dude.

But even more disturbing than your Omaha Steve-like buffoonery and stupidity is your utter lack of concern for the fate of a fellow primitive.

Given the malicious tone of the letter, it’s possible that the body of the bravenak primitive lies a’mouldering on the floor of a cramped apartment in Anchorage, Alaska, underneath an overturned couch, not to be found until the snows of the coming winter evaporate next spring.

This isn’t anything that hasn’t been tried before; it’s entirely possible (and even reasonable to believe) that someone with malicious purposes in mind created an account using that screen-name…..it could even have been you…..or franksolich.

You apparently didn’t learn anything from the scam that rocked the internet nearly eleven years ago.

Whenever writing a letter to someone who's not geographically around, I imagine the face of the person to whom I'm writing.  It's a courtesy to the other person, so the other person can see who's writing the letter.

In the case of Lamond, he's bawl-baby whined so many times to photobucket and had his mug-shots taken down and I'm tired of having to put them up again.  The guy's as vain as California Peggy, although with less reason, and I can't understand why he objects.

Welcome to the Cave, bn, if that's who you really are. At the time of my post, yours has been on CC for over an hour, and you have not been banned. And you won't be, unless you unleash a torrent of all the foul language and/or threats in your vocabulary. Me, OTOH, if I registered on DU using either of the two forum names I've been using for many years (the reason for two names is boring, not worth your inquiry; I've never used both on the same forum), I would probably be banned after my first or second post, if not before.

Oh, and if that "letter" was real, look for the writer among your "fellow" Progressives. I don't think anyone here would waste their time doing that. DU-folk who have hurled so much nastiness outward have turned it inward. Enjoy!

I've been a moderator for years, but I never learned to discern the difference between a bona fide internet service provider (ISP) number, and a fake one, such as a proxy.

I'm no Internet wizard, but I think this site identifies at least some some proxies. I usually use a couple of different sites of that sort when checking out an IP. If I get two very different countries of origin I don't know what is real, but I know the IP is bogus in some way.
