I would like to see McCains 2 sons in full battle gear at the convention when he accepts the nomination in Nov. Talk about blow the Democraps out of the water; piss them off to the max.

if only they could do that without being relieved of duty and tried...

Yeah...  that would be very very bad.

If they were home on leave and showed up at the convention in civilian clothing, I don't see the problem. Enlighten me.

there's a difference between civilian attire and military uniform... the military tries to remain apolitical, and so has strict punishments for any activities that could be construed as official endorsement of one candidate or another.
your original comment stated full battle gear.  bottom line, regs say don't go to political rallies in uniform, i don't think the convention could be much more political if it tried.

Webb wants to downplay Obama's complete ineptitude as Commander-in-Chief. Sorry Bozo, that's part of the job; hope and change is not what we need in that regard.

i actually heard John Kerry saying, "this is not the McCain I know.." as if McCain has spoken about even 1/10th the amount of his military ordeal in 30something years, as Kerry did in one presidential election.

Kerry is trying, like the others, to make military experience (during war time!) a zero sum game. it doesnt give a person any more insight into being president than being in the senate for 143 days does. they are trying to zero out everyone's experience cause Barack just has nothing going for him.

McCain better hit back hard on this one... or somebody should.

*sniff* Smell that?

I do believe I smell a double-scoop of liberal hypocrisy, Sarge.

BINGO!

Dood runs on his "war record" even uses the fact he was (fired as)  Navy Secretary under Ronaldus Magnus in his ads...to the point Nancy told him to stop.

:whatever:

Yet when McCain touts his military experience it's something that's supposed to be "toned down".

Webb just need to STFU.

i havent heard much from McCain about his service, other than when people ask him questions about it on the trail.. but, i have heard some stuff about Webb's son in combat.

McCain actually has a rule on not talking about his children. Cindy McCain will talk about them sporadically... but John McCain does not. and he has two sons in the military.

I haven't read or heard of McCain making a big issue of his military service.

Because he doesn't.

Unlike j fing kerry, McCain actually served his time and earned his awards and understood the price he paid (as opposed to some owies by the former).

He doesn't make his service an issue because it isn't and he has too much honor to make it so.
