WASHINGTON — Firebrand Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota appears to be rubbing some of her fellow Democrats the wrong way — with one of them declaring she shouldn’t even be in the party.

In a video obtained by The Post, fellow Minnesota Rep. Collin Peterson torched the scandal-scarred progressive lawmaker after previously defending her controversial “Some people did something” remarks about 9/11.

“Do you have any comment as to why you defended Ilhan Omar?” an employee with the National Republican Congressional Committee asked Peterson on Capitol Hill on Thursday.

The Dems are in schism.

The thrice-married mom of three came under fire after she minimized the attacks that killed 3,000 people as “Some people did something” — drawing a sharp rebuke from the son of one 9/11 victim.

Peterson’s criticism of Omar follows that from establishment Democrats who in conversations with The Post have privately dismissed the House’s famous “Squad” of female lawmakers as “activists” rather than legislators who can work across the aisle.

Representatives for both lawmakers didn’t immediately respond to request for comment.

Omar herself has had a tumultuous two-year run in Congress dominated by headlines about her soap-opera personal life.
