Tested yesterday-still waiting. Fever up, chest very sore and back as well. breathing labored star

could be another day before I get results
We had some prednisone we brought back from Mexico a couple years ago. Started 30 mg last night
From the people who called Trump crazy for taking HCQ. She's taking unregulated steroids without a prescription.

and I don't want to be in the ER with tons of others.

Well, that's not very smart of her.
Here she is, sick and hurting and all that, which would seem a prime opportunity to jump-start her dormant gofundme fund-raiser, but apparently she hasn't. It's still stuck at $1,500, and $30,000's the goal.

Geez, how many ways is her self-medication dangerous?
The "prednisone" may not be pure, i.e. adulterated. If it's pure, it may have lost potency over the several years. Ignoring those factors, it'll elevate her blood sugar (she's a Type 2 diabetic, IIRC), cause weight gain, mess with her sleep. If she does have to receive treatment with medications, being on steroids could complicate medication choices, assuming she tells her doctor (and if she doesn't tell her doctor ...). On the other side, prednisone, like other steroids, is not something you stop cold. A week or two of tapering off is common practice.
In all seriousness, she should have her doctor looking into: Eli Lilly's LY-CoV555 (bamlanivimab) monoclonal antibody monotherapy treatment or LY-CoV555 with LY-CoV016 monoclonal antibodies combination treatment; or Regeneron's REGN-COV2 monoclonal antibodies combination treatment; convalescent plasma antibody treatment.

I AM NEGATIVE- Had chest x-ray today. BAD case of bronchitis maybe almost worse
got a z-pac and prednisone (maybe because I already started it and have to taper) and an inhaler for lungs
Edited to improve honesty. Self-medicating with years-old "prednisone" of unknown purity and potency was a Moron-Move!
That said, I'm glad Pam will continue to be around :-) to entertain us :-) for months or years or decades to come. :tongue:
