So, what's everyone up to, this evening?

I am sitting here, trying to decide what will be my next drink... beer or Bailey's (after I finish this other beer up, of course).    Since my job starts next week, I am having my last hurrah and having a fun night here in the apartment, chatting online.  I would go out to a bar, but I really do not want  to leave my car somewhere, and take a taxi back here.

I skipped happy hour and came home tonight.  so I am drinkin' beer and talking to y'all. :-)

we are having happy hour in a little while before the book club.

wish me luck..

you have to be a little popped just to show up at that cavalcade of liberal folly, I am sure. :cheersmate:

three of us i know are GOPers... the other four, i have no idea..  :lmao:

their book selections are highly suspect . . . jus' sayin' :whatever:

the ladies are great, the book is iffy... its a chick book from Oprah's book club... tres boring.

I am only hoping at this point not to totally offend the hostess or anyone else when I come out... as a conservative..

My work's book club is also reading an Oprah selection: Love in the Time of Cholera.

Brian:  You pretty much read whatever Oprah tell you to, right?

Stewie: Well, she hasn't told us what's next...

Hey, get out of my thread, Oprah lovers. Start your own thread, dammit!   :hammer:

Now, back to the more important topic.

Bailey's has been chosen.  So sorry, beer lovers!  :-)

If you ever want to duck out of a book club, suggest David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest".  It's 1200 pages of the most obscure, crazy writing you'll ever read...

Sorry, your vote came too late.  Bailey's is my choice, so I am overruling the vote.   :evillaugh:

Then don't post here!   Just because I chose Bailey's is no reason for you to feel bitter about it.   :whatever:   :loser:

I'm just hanging out.  Mr Flame opened one of his "home brew" beers tonight...first taste/first try.  It's not bad, though not as robust as I prefer.

I can't really give you a plot synopsis of Infinite Jest.  There simply isn't one.  You'll have to find it for yourself.
