Open the master cylinder and look at the fluid. If it's clear or sorta pale bluish/yellowish/pinkish then gently poke the float in there with a screw driver and make it bob up and down a couple times. See if that doesn't fix it for awhile. If the fluid is black and gritty feeling then go get the system flushed out.
