WASHINGTON — Americans are mad, and that is putting Republicans at risk.
A new USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds voters looking toward the midterm elections are overwhelmingly unhappy with the country's direction, dissatisfied with its political leadership, and interested in electing a Congress that will confront President Trump.
By close to 2-1, 58%-32%, those surveyed say they want to elect a Congress that mostly stands up to the president, not one that mostly cooperates with him.
First of all, the Midterm Elections in November. Second of all, anything can change. This poll is meaningless.

By November, the full effect of the tax cuts and all of the rolling back the regulations will be sending the economy into hyperdrive. Remember what James Carville said . . . "It's the economy, stupid!"

I''m sure it's true in the Blue districts, whether is is anywhere else I'm not convinced.

Never trust a poll where the sponsor has a vested interest in its results.

The must have only polled people who are on the dole and not getting tax cuts

It seems to me that the overwhelming majority of the country mistrusts Congress and their sycophants. Approval rating hovers in the single digits.
DJT couldn't POSSIBLY do worse than Congress.
Insofar as divisiveness is concerned, we've had plenty of that since the advent of BDS, which has morphed into its variants. Of course, ODS was apt and targeted to a known hostile, who just happened to be parked in the White House.
And the funny thing is, the relentless DJT attack dogs once in a while turn on themselves. Sorta like a school of sharks in a feeding frenzy.

If people elect a congress that opposes tax cuts, then our country truly is on the way down and fast.

The day we decided to attempt to play nice with ANY demonrat was the day our downfall began. I'm not hopeful for our nation with so many polluted liberals, coddled criminals (including illegal aliens). BestI can do is pray for our President and embargo any interaction between me and a Dim.
And yeah, meeting someone, I tell them up front I love Trump. If they make a douche comment they're henceforth labeled my ideological enemy. Plenty of patriots left to be on friendly terms with.
At this point, we are a slowly sinking ship and I would love to be powerful enough to throw the dead weight liberals overboard. Since I can't, being not powerful nor as lawbreaking as those VERMIN, shunning them is the least I can do.
