Driver apparently trying to run people down shot by off-duty officer in South Philadelphia (http://6abc.com/off-duty-officer-shoots-driver-after-pedestrian-hit-in-sphilly/3002398/)

Investigators say an off-duty Philadelphia police detective shot and killed a driver who appeared to be intentionally trying to run people down.

Kinebrew said the driver "was apparently attempting to run people over." One person was struck but was not seriously injured.

Another driver had blocked the path of the suspect's car, and the off-duty detective approached and struggled with him.

During the struggle, the detective shot the man once in the head, and that man has since died.

It happened in Pennsylvania ... are the Amish getting restless?

South Philly is a long, long way from Lancaster....

It's a pretty rough neighborhood and has been that way for a very long time.
