Watch for the Turn...

Today, it's WP's
David Ignatius
.

Who will it be tomorrow?

The MSM will maintain a press blackout on Obama right up through Election Day if they can, BUT...

If they think the race is lost, they will quickly jump all over the Libya story.

Then it's just damage-control, choosing who gets thrown under the bus. You see, THEY EAT THEIR OWN!!

That's not the way I read that at all. It looked more to be supporting the "intelligence failure" story, and saying that there were no nearby forces. Only two questions were asked: What happened and when? and Why weren't there any military forces closer than they were?

The author seems to be willing to accept the idea that there were no military forces nearby, conveniently ignoring Aviano AFB in Italy, which most def has fighters that could have reached Libya in plenty of time, as well as any carrier battle groups that were in the Med.

He also pushes the concept that defending our people would have made the situation worse, by pissing off the Libyans and the Arab Street. F them, we defend Americans, and if they don't want to get bombs and missiles dropped on them, they shouldn't attack, or allow others to attack, American citizens.
