2nd Presidential Debate LIVE Thread...
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:27:37 PM »
O.k. Here is the LIVE thread for the '2nd Presidential Debate'. It is on tomorrow '10/16/12' at 9:00 Pm..

As a starter: Candy Crowley is getting a lot of hot water abuse already. Mostly because of all the ignorant things she said about Romney (and the fact that she is so much in love with obama). It is also being said that the first thing obama will bring up is about the 47% comment that Romney made. This is going to be a town hall debate, and it will be two liberals against one Conservative. Look for it to get interesting. I just hope Romney doesn't hold back and tells both Crowley and obama were to shove it...

Edited to correct date ...

Expect something like:

"Well, the 47%, who are hard working people, trying to keep jobs and families afloat, trying hard to make it day to day, some actually starting businesses, actually did build what they have"
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."

That would be a great reply. I am thinking that Romney is working on a reply, as he has to know that the jug eared jack ass is going to bring it up.

The rules for this debate: (Town hall style)

1: Only undecided voters are asking questions.
2: The question can only be about foreign policy and domestic policy.
3: Candidates each have two minutes to respond, plus add’l minute for moderator to  advance discussion.

With this being moderated by a 300 pound cow whose panties drip at the site of obama, I look for it to be 15 minute reply for obama and 5 seconds for Romney (with butting in and gotcha add on clarification questions)...

I can't find find it now, but I read an article earlier about a previous townhall style debate where that had happened.  It was found out later that several of the people picked to answer questions were far from being undecided and some had even been given their  questions to ask.

That doesn't surprise me at all. It is being said that gallop picked the people to ask the questions. I smell fish ....

I would trust this more if a certain number of people were chosen by each campaign to ask questions of  the other side .  This supposedly non-partisan stuff is utter BS.

Glenn Beck came up with something interesting.

He wondered (as do I) if we'll hear, " This question came in via email from a viewer...."

It is BS. I have a feeling that Romney is going to get raked through the coals. Both from obama and Crowley.

Update on the 300 pound pig moderator, er, I mean Crowley: It is being reported that she is not allowed to ask any follow up questions, and she has to read the question just as they are written. I guess both the obama and Romney campaign were complaining about her, and their lack of knowing exactly what she will say. I don't think either of them trust her. Which is kind of funny because she is a major obama lover; and if anything would rake Romney over the coals before she would ever think of doing the same to obama. Of course we will have to see if she sticks to what she is told.

True, but there are two things they are afraid might happen - One, she tries to 'Help' him and ends up stumping his fragile and sheltered little brain, and Two, if she manages to completely embarrass either one of them, she makes the journalistic big-time as a game-changer and Team Obama is afraid professional ambition might trump her O-love if the temptation presented itself to her.

Neal Boortz played a clip of Ann Romney this morning stating that Mitt is in debate prep, he's ready, and he's expecting Obama to come out swinging. I am really looking forward to tonight. :)

If Team O is so worried about Candy Crowley and her "ambitions," what's that saying about Barry's own level of paranoia?

Lehrer came off looking like an utter fool; Raddatz slightly better but still bared her liberal fangs a little too often to be labeled an unbiased journalist. Crowley's "ambition" isn't entirely clear to me, except to reassert herself as a "journalist."

Kinda hard to be a real journalist and be employed at CNN, but whatevah....

Crowley's ambitions are to get obama elected, and do whatever she can to get it done. She has already shown that she hates Romney, and will stop at nothing to rake him over the coals.

Barry does have a high level of paranoia. He probably looks at Romney and sees nothing but someone in a white sheet and a hood. He hates the white man you know.

It is a given that obama is going to come out swinging. Beck was saying this morning that he thinks Romney will be calm, and if obama goes off like Biden did, he is done. I hope obama does go off like Biden. He has nothing to run on, so he has to do something.

Something to think about while watching the debates tonight.

There's still twenty days--480 hours--until election day, and a lot can happen, especially with the most racially-divisive president in American history at the helm.  Not to mention the most incompetent, the most detached president in American history.  And I suspect he's probably the lowest-IQ president in our history too; he's just not very bright.

But even stumblebums get lucky and waltz through something.  It's just random chance, but it does happen.

Some things that could happen might not go our way, but it's important to not lose our heads, and to press on.

Yes,as I said in the DUmpster thread any performance better then last (which is a low bar) will be triumphently celebrated in the media with almost instant polls showing O ahead by 5 points and frantic declarations that the election is over.

Everyone needs to brace for it and expect it.
