Actually, color me surprised.  I would have thought that Powell's stance on the war would have gone straight down the memory hole.  Guess the Obamessiah just screwed the pooch on his triangulation there.

I can remember stories after the invasion and the subsequent lack of WMD discoveries that whispered that powell was "used" to sell the war under false pretenses, because he had credibility that no one else in the administration had.

That's pretty much what I had read as well. Has Powell written any books? Honestly, I haven't followed him post-retirement from the administration.

Nah they ARE the base now.  When all the major candidates skip the DLC Convention in favor of the Kos Tinfoil Brigade confab.  The fringe has moved to the base.

gotta disagree, albeit mildly.  if the kosians were actually in charge of the democrat party, they would have nominated kookspinach, not the obamessiah.  but you do have a point in that in rejecting hillary, they rejected what they perceived to be moderation . . . or maybe they just didn't want to worry about bill sticking it where it didn't belong for another 4 or 8 years. :whatever: :-)
