Humble request for lounge vibes...
My job has been HELL lately (and by lately, I mean for the last couple of years). Love what I do, love everyone I work with, EXCEPT my 30-something-going-on-13-year-old, arrogant, micromanaging supervisor.
I've been seeking other opportunities ever since the bitch walked in the door; had her number within ten minutes - she started out by telling me that 'the Lord must have wanted me to be in this position...' kinda reminds me of Chimpy the Unelected Imbecile...so turned me off RIGHT away. Anyway, long story short, I've been trying to develop some relationships with those in sister companies (I work for a large corporation, some 80 companies) in the hope of finding the 'right seat on the bus.'
We have a new corporate HR head, and she's seen some of my comments on our intranet blog, and has responded to me personally, saying she likes my ideas and that she wanted to talk to me 'in the near future.' I've heard that before, from others, and it's never panned out, despite polite followups and whatever, so I didn't put too much stock in it.
BUT...she came through, scheduled an hour-long phone call with me for tomorrow, and I'm just hoping that there might be an opportunity there for me to start moving in the direction I need and want to go, to be able to really utilize my education and experience, both for me and for the company -
I really do feel that I have a lot to offer; I am good at what I do; I work hard; I want to continue to work hard....but I'd kinda like to GET somewhere as a result...somewhere other than shot down by The Little Princess on a daily basis...

So anyway, for anyone who has vibes to spare, please send a few my way! I've been one big knot of nerves and pissed-off-ed-ness for WAY too long now, and I need to sell myself, my abilities, and get the **** OUTTA THERE.

And of course by "Right seat on the bus" she means a job where she can sit on her ass all day pecking away at DU threads without being "Micro Managed" by someone who actually, ya'know, expects her to do HER JOB while shes at work.

It would be funny as Hell if HR gives her the "We feel you have bigger opportunities elsewhere' talk and security shows up to help her clean out her desk and find the exit.

Note 5 references to herself, with "the company" mentioned at the end as though it were an afterthought.  No doubt this is how she prioritizes her job and her life.  She should count her blessings that "the Lord must have wanted me to be in this position..." because given her selfish attitude she's lucky to have it.

One of the rules moonbats seem to live by is that they cannot type more than a couple of sentences
without revealing their moonbattiness.
