Hi from Texas!
« on: July 27, 2011, 11:52:02 AM »
Hi,

Just joined and wanted to introduce myself.  I'm a conservative from Texas.  I enjoy playing with my son, hunting, fishing, lifting weights, music, and voting against liberals!

Howdy!!!!
I can see November 2 from my house!!!

Spread my work ethic, not my wealth.

Forget change, bring back common sense.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Thanks!  With 1.4 million people leaving NY because of taxes, and another 1 million or so leaving California for Texas, it's just a matter of time before we're all Texans.  The unfortunate thing about it is that when a Californian moves to Texas, the average IQ in both states drops.

Just for clarification, just because one moves to Texas doesn't make them a "Texan".....

You are correct, sir.  I lived there for six years and never ever claimed to be a Texan.

And welcome, Erasmus.
