The full title is below. The video is a tad stereotypical, but the info in the article is common sense. And these 'preppers' are across the Pond . . . Oh--this was on Drudge this morning.

As we rely more and more on technology, Mirror Online meets a survival expert that tells it like it is
These days the world is a scary place to live in.
If there's not an asteroid on its way to obliterate us or terrorists plotting our imminent downfall, there's the dangers of giant online data hacks or complete economic collapse.
But when the end does arrive, there are a few people who aren't just able to cope with the apocalypse - they've been actively preparing for it.
These people call themselves 'preppers' or 'survivalists' and they belong to a vast underground community. When the ATMs stop running or the internet goes down, they'll be the ones that make it out alive.
"Its a huge community, especially in the States. But in the UK it's becoming more and more recognised," explained Steve Hart, the man behind the UK's top prepping website: ukpreppersguide.co.uk.
There's one thing missing over there, that we tend to have over here. Guns. Makes a difference.

If it means Libs and gangs in the Northeast and far West killing and eating each other, I see an up side to the whole hypothesis.

If they eat each other, the locals won't have to worry about disposing of their carcasses.

Been thru many hurricanes where electricity is cut off for a week. You need cash (small bills) to buy groceries at small mom and pop stores, car gassed up, water, food, generator, and for protection guns. The internet will not affect those that are prepared that much.

Another Y2K type scare ?

Imagine if that and the cell phones didn't work. Escape from NY would be a bloodbath. I'm always ready but I'm getting a little old so I'm thinking I'll have to stand and fight to defend my stores. It would be bad.
