President Obama on Thursday appeared to reject the idea of arming U.S. agents in Mexico, saying after a meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon that the two governments will look at other ways to protect American officials in the wake of a fatal shooting last month.

"There are laws in place in Mexico that say that our agents should not be armed," Obama said, describing the U.S. role south of the border as an "advisory" one. "We do not carry out law enforcement activities inside of Mexico."

Obama, signaling the two presidents discussed the killing, thanked the Mexican government Thursday for its cooperation in the investigation and vowed that the United States would be a "full partner" in fighting the drug cartels.

a full partner my rear end. This is only for VOTES.  :argh:  By the way now that is is BROADCASTED that the Americans have no weapons how many more agents will die?  How stupid is the White House? really are they?  How much more blood must be spilled? How many more killed for this White House to have votes?

other ways to protect American Officials?  You mean like less than lethal beanbags???
Quote
Border Patrol agents shot beanbags at a group of suspected bandits before the men returned fire during a confrontation in a remote canyon, killing agent Brian Terry with a single gunshot, records show.
beanbags  Talk about bringing a pea shooter to a gunfight.

Then there is this story about how ATF is letting guns into mexico in hopes of finding bigger fish to catch: ATF lets hundreds of weapons into mexico
Quote
Then in December, two weapons recovered at the scene of a murdered Customs and Border Protection agent, Brian Terry, were traced to the ATF operation, according to Sen.Grassley.
  :banghead:

obozo might as well add a big bullseye target onto the backs of all the Officers charged with protecting our borders if they won't allow them to be properly armed and is letting arms into mexico that are killing our BP Agents.
Biden is an illegitimate President.  Change my mind.

Police lives matter.

Is this the same Felipe Calderon that spoke on our Capital and said that AZ's law was unconstitutional?
