What is it with you wimmenfolk and Prince?  :whatever:

(I know a lesbian at work that loves Prince so much she would probably switch teams for a chance with him  :rotf: )
I personally don't find him sexually attractive. But the man is one hell of a musician and songwriter.

The music didn't impress me, the dancing looked like it was choreographed by a gay man, and the costumes were silly.

I love her Halo song but all I could see was that she was impressed by herself and that is a huge turnoff.  Oh, I did think the part where she was dancing with her own holograms was cool, looked very real.  But I don't believe for a minute she didn't lip sync.

If I have to listen to that 'Single Ladies' song one more time I am jamming an icepick in my ears! She has talent but so do many other women out there. Not really sure what is that special about her except that she apparently has a great publicist.

I didn't watch myself and I am getting to the point I want to turn off my favorite TV shows when I hear rap or such in the background.  The other day the music was so loud it drowned out the actors.

I watched it....and thought it was boring, though much better than Madonna was last year, but I don't care for Madonna so probably not a good comparison. I wasn't offended though.

I don't think she lipsynced, only because she didn't sing very much, and halfway through, I thought she sounded awfully winded. Dancing too much to catch her breath and sing. Dancing was good - for what it was. A choreographed stage show - everyone was in step, and not a movement out of place.

Not sure who the halftime show was supposed to appeal to, but since the Super Bowl attracts people of all ages, both male and female, and all around the world, I think they could have picked someone more universal than Beyonce. She can sing, but her songs are geared toward a younger audience. Her attire was typical of what she usually wears ... too small and revealing. M's comment? "Geezus, she's got thunder thighs and a fat ass!" (he's used to one considerably flatter!   :-)  )

One of the morning radio talk shows was talking about this.  If you are 49+, the networks don't really care what you think as their target demographic is younger.

Here's another odd tidbit - apparently, if you liked the Paul Harvey Farmers commercial, you hated the Beyonce performance.  If you didn't like the commercial, you liked the Beyonce performance.   :???:

The comment from my 5-year-old son while watching the Beyonce performance at halftime: "Mommy, how is THAT football-game appropriate?"

Yep. He's a good boy.
