For people talking about having a 50 year old retirement age

Do you have any idea how worthless you will feel retired at age 50?

Considering most of you don't want to work at all I doubt there would be any bad feelings retiring at 50.

Most DUmmies do not have to wait to 50 to feel worthless.

That's the problem, they somehow have enough self esteem to not feel worthless, so they don't do anything to better their lives, they just sit there and demand that the taxpayers give them more and more.

Most democrats prefer the higher income offered by a disability pension.

The DUches beat the rush!
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

29. No. In fact, I would be infinately more useful...

First, I would not be working for someone else that robs my time and energy in order to enrich themselves. The 11 hours a day that I would be free to give back to the community would be heaven on earth.

Second, things I would have time for (and the skills to make a difference):
Volunteering at:

Food Not Bombs

Dumpster diving
Negotiating for underground food scraps from restaurants
Cooking (Note to everyone: Don't accept dinner invitations from Luminous Animal)

Homes Not Jails
Community garden projects

Saving seed initiatives
Community composting
Water reclamation

Tutoring at 826 Valencia

Free government paperwork filing for non-profits

Playing bass more often and (gasp) the time to play with other people.
Free time to assist my elderly friends in my neighborhood.

The way the leftwing union types "work" here in Texas is to have 6 or 8 fat white guys and black guys stand around watching the one Mexican do the actual digging. All of them get ridiculous pensions and probably do retire at 50. Big expose by a secret camera here locally that was on the recent news.

Most everyone I knew who retired by their 50's went out and got a second ( higher paying ) carrear they retired from. I am in no danger of retiring at 50 but if I did I would do the same.

Too much stupid in such a short sentence.

First, if you have a job, you are not being "robbed" of your time and energy working for someone "in order to enrich themselves".  If you are getting paid, you are bartering your time for money  If you feel your time is worth more, go barter with someone who is willing to pay you more for your time.  Get it?

Volunteering is giving away your time for free, IOW, you are being "robbed" by whatever entity you "work" for.

Second, if you feel your boss is "robbing your time and energy to enrich himself", here's a thought:
BECOME THE BOSS!  DUH!  ENRICH YOURSELF, DUmbass!
Start your own business and hire DUmbasses like yourself to staff it.  Have a blast!   :hammer:

Here's the deal. Volunteering involves one making ones own schedule on ones own time.  What many dummies really want is a full time live able salary while they essentially make thier own schedule. For those serious about this they basically want you and I to pay for thier altruism. What they miss in all this is while volunteering in such a way is a thoughtful and noble thing there generally is always an element of self sacrifice to it: that's what makes it so noble. If the taxpayers pay you to do it then it's not volunteering. You basically are asking to have a wage paid to you for your altruism. Neglecting the point that if these organizations had such a budget they'd hire instead of ask for volunteers. That's far more stable help for them versus some Sunnis that wants to stroll in on his own time. They all essentially want to get paid to live thier ideals. What irritates the shit out of me with liberals is that they behave as if those of us working actually like doing it. As if somehow we have no dreams, ideals , or altruistic ambitions of our own. To me that's where their arrogance comes from and why they feel entitled to be paid to live their lives as they want.  They are ok with other people being worker bees after all those individuals don't have the vision or ideals that they do. They just don't want to be it. Essentially most liberals are arrogant and believe themselves to be more deserving. In my eyes aside from generational dependence that is where the entitlement attitude comes from. This part of liberalism is where the artists and intellectuals inhabit. They are a different breed then the useful generationally bred idiots.

I find it funny my autocorrect changed dummies to sunnis. If we keep in line with their mid east policies or lack of, that might not be too far from the truth someday lol

Their problem isn't a lack of self-esteem, they have way more of that than their real achievements justify.  They do lack any sense of shame, though, and that is what would keep them from feeling worthless if they were to be able to start lifetime welfare at 50.  I call it lifetime welfare because lowering the age to 50 would destroy any pretext that social security was an earned benefit, since it would reduce the FICA tax to a minor component of its funding.

24. If it were distributed properly (to everyone according to need).........

there is PLENTY of wealth to go around. EVERYONE could have a roof and food and healthcare and education. And yes LEISURE! But it won't happen while the blood sucking parasites take a lion's share of everything as a "profit" and don't give the workers shit in return.

"Distributed properly."   ::) :bird:
