Bush's IQ is apparently 125?
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x3986546

Just saw this little "click on me" ad for one of those internet IQ tests. It has a cartoon picture of Bush and a caption that says: "His IQ is 125. Are you smarter than Bush?"

Have the changed the scale? I thought 100+ was basically above average. There's no ****in way.

Oh...this is gonna be good!

You can have a 200 IQ and be dumb as a mud fence.

Ah.....no.

23. Not dumb, but completely lacking in "common sense".
But 125? Really? That's considered gifted - and I'm not talking "differently" gifted. There's no way in hell. Without the MSM, the Neocons, PNACers and the loyalists, he'd have gone down in flames before the 2000 election.

I've been around awhile and can't recall any famous personality with as many enablers or given as many free passes.

28. If you use 100% of a 110 IQ, you are smarter than someone who uses half of a 200 IQ
That's my point. It's the capacity to know, it's not what he actually knows. He's a howling idiot, no question.

What in the **** are you talking about? Use half of a 200 IQ? Man, talk about retarded...

15. I thought 125 would be average.
IQ changes over time, mostly because the test is subjective, IMHO. But I *KNOW* I'm average and the lowest I have ever tested is 138.

That's the "superior range." My dogs are smarter than Bush. The average physician is in the high average range (110-119) just to give you a frame of reference.

Now hold on there twinkles, Labs are thought to have an IQ around 90 and be able to 'know' about 150 different words. Officers are required to score a 110 GT.

I suspect George Bush has a much higher IQ than the shadowy primitive.

Which explains why George Bush is the Leader of the Free World, and the shadowy primitive is a part-time taxi-cab driver.

Yes, fighter pilots are SOOOOOOOOOO dumb.   :whatever:

Remember back to 2004.  Some id specialists decided to do an IQ profile of President Bush and that loser John Kerry based on their writings, achievements, university grades, and other information.  They decided President Bush had an IQ 125 and Loser Kerry had an IQ 118 (or near that number).  It also brought to light that President Bush had a higher GPA than Loser Kerry.

This "Bush is dumb" smear has always baffled me, almost as much as the false praise about Kerry being such an intellectual.  All the evidence, both on paper and in observed history, dictates the complete opposite is the truth.

What baffles me is how the Little Goons get away with it....and how the Little Goons know the truth, but pretend it doesn't exist.  How do the goofy sh*tasses live with themselves?

Conversely you can have an IQ of 20 and be considered the oracle of all higher truth on the DUmp.

Yeah, I know, but I just thought quota better suited the DUmmies because they 'share' their ignorance.

From my paper back Websters.

Quota-a proportional part esp. when assigned:SHARE
Quotient-number obtained by dividing one number by another.

Actually, it's "above average".  145-150 is considered genius or superior.  Trust me on this one, DUmmies... :afro:

Dude, your entire family IQ doesn't add up to 200.  And that's assuming your EXTENDED family.

Uh, nope.  Depending upon the program, most public school "gifted/talented" programs don't even consider you unless you're in the 130-145 range.  Again, trust me on this one, right Mrs. MacNamee?

I'd try to explain IQ's, bell shaped curves, and standard deviation, but I'm afraid their heads would explode.  Come to think of it, that's not such a bad idea after all.

What's really sad is that they attempt to equate an IQ score to actual intelligence. Just because someone has a high IQ doesn't mean jack. "Book smart" and "common sense" are  two different things. It's when they combine that makes an individual truly intelligent.

Ive done the MENSA thing briefly. Ive never seen a pack of folks do so little with so much. Honestly. There would occasionally be some interesting discussion, but then it would get hung up on minutiae. Things like calculating how many minutes to exercise to end up with a daily zero-sum on caloric intake. -- Yes this took up an entire MENSA dinner at a restaurant some years back.

I could easily join Mensa.  I won't, however, because membership is pretty much meaningless.  It's just a bragging point.  And I've lost respect for it, too, because I contacted one of the Minnesota Mensa's officers about some political thing she mouthed off about a while ago and she was absolutely at a loss as to how I got her email address.  It was on the website.  And she claimed to have a 190+ IQ.  Yeah, right.

The name of Mensa is derived from the Kurdish "mensa", which means "comically pretentious".

Nevertheless, wouldn't it be priceless if W very publicly joined?

I qualified based on my SAT and GRE scores with lots of room to spare, and I did participate in a sort of "incipient" (or "outlaw" perhaps more accurately) chapter back in college...those meetings were run by an alcoholic who was probably the only paying Mensa member present, and it always was a drunken beer bust full of interesting folks.  Basically the problem with the group getting off the ground was that none of us were dumb enough to pay money to and organization just to hang out and have a beer bust with people we could gt drunk and hang out with anyway.

People who think it's some kind of big deal to be a "real" member are pretentious fools.  You don't get anything but a bill and an opportunity to hang out with some of the world's most self-important blowhards.
