1. Keep hearing Garland just wants to focus on looking forward, not back. Explanation for why DOJ is not taking the lead in demanding accountability.

Well, a) his action reported today v. TX redistricting is a perfect demonstration of this philosophy; b) when the 1/6 Comm has made criminal refererrals he got on them timely - am I right? Or did DOJ take weeks to pursue Bannon? c) I think he figures with 1/6 comm pursuing that thread, he will continue to focus on ensuring legality of elections, etc., going forward.

Also: we have to counter MAGA relentlessness with relentlessness of our own. I think that's how he gets into their bloodstream. It becomes a compulsion.

I am going to hoist my American flag today - at half staff. And leaving it up.
