BTW, I have no problem with the "threats" being investigated, and if real and criminal, prosecuted. However, there is substantial reason in recent history to consider whether the threats are real or hoaxes. Hoaxes should be prosecuted as vigorously as real threats, and the consequences if convicted to be the same as for real threats.
The major reasons hoaxes are abounding, IMO, are that the demand for racism far exceeds the supply of racism, and the consequences for hoaxes are too moderate.
