maximum net worth...
A raise in minimum wage is great, but what we really need is a maximum net worth...

Unbelievable.  John Galt where are you?  I am ready to join you.  He really doesn't understand that he is talking about a cap on productivity.

Oh, brother.  And just who gets to decide "maximum net worth?"  One of our illustrious politicians who increase their net worth with policies and taxpayer dollars?

Yeah, great idea, DUmmie.

The DUmmie in question? Minimum wage.
“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

200 bazillion trillion dollars
You see, I don't care you how feel.  I really don't.  More importantly, neither does anyone else.  Only about 200 people on a planet of 7 billion actually care about your feelings, and that's if you're lucky.  The sooner you grasp this lesson, the better off you will be.  And since almost no one gives a damn what you do, say, think, or feel, appealing to your feelings when you encounter differences of opinion is not only illogical, but useless.

Sounds good, until you start thinking about the possibility that all the 'quantitative easing,' oil prices, and an exploding minimum wage could turn us into the United States of Zimbabwe somewhere down the road, and that would be about enough to buy a week's groceries.

My husband says that obama wants to raise the minimum wage because there is no doubt high inflation is coming, though it's already here.  When inflation hits, $9 per hour will be a pittance.

Hey DUmmies, why don't you ask algore what the maximum net worth should be since he has more money than Mitt Romney after selling off his TV station to the a-rabs.

2. no we don't. Just return the tax rates to what they were under Republican President

Eisenhower and the cap gains tax to what it was under Wilson.

F**king idiot.  Even the poorest wage earners paid taxes under those tax rates.  The minimum tax rate was 20% paid on income up to $2000.

It'll actually be a self-fulfilling prophecy...when the minimum wage goes up by 20%, so will the cost of all the staples people on minimum wage have to buy with their pay, because labor cost is an input to all of them from production to transportation to point of sale.

I have a better idea than a minimum wage......how 'bout a minimum IQ test for picture ID's and the right to vote.

And taxes will go up, with some people being moved into a higher bracket.
