I count ten 7-Elevens around me. In fact, at one intersection there is a 7-Eleven on TWO of the corners. We call them 7-Eleven North and 7-Eleven South. This happened because Mobil & Southland merged something and now what was a Mobil station is now a 7-Eleven, plus we have the existing stores NOT a Mobil station.
I was waiting for you to see this, as I wondered.
In Lincoln, Nebraska, during the 1990s, they started being closed and boarded up.
By the time I came back from the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants, they were all gone.
They're all still boarded up, and it's confusing, because some of these locations are prime commercial spots; I'm guessing they're holding onto the real estate for tax purposes.
