Second-grader asks Michelle Obama if the President will deport her mother.
   
Today, while President Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon spoke about the need for immigration reform at a press conference in the Rose Garden, First Lady Michelle Obama and Mexico’s First Lady Margarita Zavala visited the New Hampshire Estates Elementary School in Silver Spring, MD to speak with second graders. During Mrs. Obama’s visit, one of the students brought up the immigration issue. ABC News’ Karen Travers reports:

The student shyly raised her hand and said, “My mom … she says that Barack Obama is taking everybody away that doesn’t have papers.”

Mrs. Obama replied: “Yeah, well that’s something that we have to work on, right? To make sure that people can be here with the right kind of papers, right? That’s exactly right.”

The girl then said quietly, “But my mom doesn’t have any …” and trailed off.

Mrs. Obama replied: “Well, we have to work on that. We have to fix that, and everybody’s got to work together in Congress to make sure that happens. That’s right.”

Yes, I feel sorry for the kid, the kid hasn't done anything wrong BUT times that kid by millions, and whose paying for them to be in school? my property taxes are paying for illegals in my district and no 1 at DU cares when my taxes go up.

Rush said it was because Michelle didn't even correct the child when she said Barack Obama instead of saying Arizona, he said it had to be pre-planned and the kid said the wrong word and Michelle probably knew this question was going to be asked and just answered without even hearing it.

I'm going to my FB and posting to my liberal moonbat friends why this lady isn't in ICE custody.  I had a running discussion with one of them the other day (a federal employee) about how he was insulted when I stated the government isn't doing it's job vis-a-vis immigration enforcement.

I wonder what his reply to this will be.

I later heard that ICE wouldn't even consider investigating the illegal POS cause they don't consider 7 year olds to be legit with the info! Hell, she was good enough to put on TV to show the plight of the poor downtrodden criminal mother, but certainly not for tracking down an illegal immigrant!

Color me surprised! What BS! These people are pissin' in our cornflakes and telling us it's milk and honey!

what second grader knows or thinks about such things?  no second grader on the planet.  that is beyond their comprehension.

heh.  here is a funny story about growing up in america as an american.  no, it is not going to be one of those that piss all over our country and our government for not providing for us.  i guess it's a story about growing up when we didn't care about such things.

my dad worked.  my mom worked.  my folks provided provided for us. we were warm and happy and fed.  i played with the neighborhood children (everybody had huge families) my parents only had us four.

i played with the others on my block from after school until until dusk.  and then the calls would go out from the back door, "anthony!"  "david!"  whatever...  when we heard our names, we knew it was time to go home, to eat supper with our families.   

we were children, we respected adults, we did our children thing and never ever, ever! did anything that would "get us in trouble" with adults.  i grew up knowing the boundaries.   

i guess my point is...

when i was a child, there was shit you could do to have your particular fun, and then there was shit you could do that would piss off a normal thinking adult of society.  we went out of our way to embrace the one of these things without entering into the other. 

today?  children seem to go out of their way to provoke reactions. and then get lawyers to back them in court.


i am glad i got to live in the world of the past.  it was a wonderful and beautiful world.  y'all think this new world is something special?  all of your technology and whatnot? 

so sad that you don't know.  but how could you?  whatever.  dream on for your technology.  its all you have, because you don't know about how sweet life was "back in the day"...
