That's it. And that's why this argument from them is so infantile. Their premise is set up on having paid in but not getting your money back if you leave. Nope, not the way it works. I will gladly, this very moment, opt out of paying into Social Security and Medicare. Just give me back what I've paid in with, let's say, 5% compounded interest and I'll gladly never use either.
And this stupid statement that people paying taxes in order to fund roads, police, fire dept., etc... is socialism is even more immature of an argument. There are some items which are legitimate functions of government. Just because people have determined that they need to pool their money together in order to accomplish a common goal doesn't mean that particular item is a socialist undertaking. If that were the case, then stockholders in a corporation pooling what they wish together monetarily for the common goal of providing capital for the corporation would make that relationship socialistic. Ergo, evil global corporations practice socialism.
