Well, there is somewhat more to the story than that. We did contaminate it in the first place, and agreed to move it out to keep the Kuwaitis, a critical ally, happy. Testing WE provided and paid for said the stuff was below the threshhold for "hazardous," unfortunately it turned out OUR contractor hired a shitty lab and EPA decided it was from slightly to 2X over the 'hazardous' threshhold once it was actually sitting in a ship off the coast of Washington.
This stuff is not actually dangerous at all unless they dump it at your wellhead and leave it there for 10 years, it's in transit to a hazardous waste facility which has MUCH more dangerous Gen-you-wine American-made hazardous waste in it.
