I have to laugh when liberals start talking about how self sufficient blue states are. Reality shows that democrats are concentrated in and around large cities of vast urban sprawl.
They live like that because government services mean more to them than safety, clean living and open spaces. California, Illinois and even New York has huge areas where food is produced. Most of the people in those areas are conservatives.
