Hello everybody. This is HNC's wife, Lisa.

My husband suffered a heart attack the afternoon of February 3 while driving home from his teaching position at USC. Thankfully, he was able to pull to the side of the road without causing an accident, and was transported to an ER, where he received immediate medical attention.

He is in stable condition, and is resting comfortably.

I am very sorry I didn't get online and inform you all of this sooner, but as you can understand, this was perhaps the most terrifying event any of us in our family have ever experienced. Thanks also to those of you who've sent messages expressing your concern over his absence. I now certainly understand why he has become so enamored of this site, and of all of you.

I will keep you posted as to his progress, and with God's grace, he'll be back to terrorizing the statists very shortly.  :-)

Oh Lisa....I am so sorry to hear this, but so glad to know that he will be ok.

I was thinking about him quite a bit yesterday, and wondering what was going on.

Glad he's doing alright, so very sorry for this happening to you.

Thank you so much, Lisa, for letting us know!  I'm glad to hear he's on the mend, and resting comfortably.  I'm also glad he had his wits about him during the attack, and pulled over.  A DUmmy, of course, would careen all over the road, and post at the DUmp on his iphone, getting advice on what to do.   :-)

I miss Hollywood NeoCon for a selfish reason, a very selfish reason.

I don't feel creative when he's not around.

Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to make the saga of the Packer clan down there in northeastern Oklahoma into a potential half-hour television situation comedy, but without Hollywood NeoCon's guidance, the whole thing's dead in the water at the moment.

Actually, I'm not totally selfish; a very large part of me wants Hollywood NeoCon to get well, with or without conservativecave, simply because he's a Gift to Humanity and common sense.
