I actually wondered that myself, Lauri, a few days ago. My female Lhasa, Bella, ate some fake berries off of the Christmas tree that were Styrofoam. Guess it's OK as she hasn't died, but styrofoam isn't digestible.

he only ate three of them but they are the larger ones that actually look like those orange peanut chewy candy thingies..

and of course he did cause the husband is out of town and this is THE perfect time for me to drag a sick kid to the vet in the middle of the night.

oh.. ya know what. i just remembered that if you give a dog a spoonful of salt, it will make them throw up.

hmm...

we learned this trick when our sheltie kept eating tube socks that were as long as she was.. it works, but its ... foamy.

Around here we don't call 'em "peanuts".  We call 'em "ghost turds".   :-)

He'll "process" them on his own and more than likely be fine. Anything soft like that gets broken down and passed. It's the stuff that doesn't break down you need to worry about. My mother's dog eats plastic and socks. He chewed the lid off of a prescription bottle in under a minute!  :o We had to sit on him and pry the pieces out of his mouth. The vet says you have to watch out for things that will poke their insides or get stuck. And you have to watch out for things that will poison them. Which, sadly could be any piece of plastic now (thanks China!).

I say watch him and do the vomit trick if he starts to act funny. (Hey! That sounds like good advice for DUmmies too!)  :rotf:

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

at least he didn't eat bubble wrap.  the next time he pooped, it would have sounded
like automatic gunfire. :devious:
