OK, after this week's episode:

Who wouldn't like to see something extra nasty happen to Zobel's daughter, the one who lured Gemma to the mini-van?

I think Gemma will catch up with her eventually.

Yeah, but  simple shooting seems like ti would be over too soon. I'm not saying I'm for having what happened to Gemma happen to her but having her linger would drive Zobel insane.

I don't think she'll kill her. Like you say, over too soon. But something that she won't get over quickly, if ever.

I just watched the new (last week's) episode last night.  WOW!  The eye thing. :bawl:  Chibs :censored:  Hale! :cheersmate:  It gets better every time I watch it!

Yeah, that's pretty messed-up about Chibs and Otto...and a lack of recon in favor of immediate retaliation in what is quickly becoming a full-scale war is foolhardy...I would have expected better from the veteran Clay.

I also think Clay's strong-arming Zobel was more provocation than profiteering; perhaps to establish a pecking order as rackeetering is unheard of for SAMCRO.

As for Hale: I'm wondering if this is merely an alliance of convenience or if Hale will come to a point of assuming the-devil-you-know-is-better-than-the-devil-you-don't. It could work with Hale and Jax teaming-up to reform SAMCRO away from outlawry but A) that would be too obvious B) Hamlet ends tragically for all parties involved.

My hubby and I were discussing ways for SAMCRO to make money legally/ethically.  We can't come up with anything except the garage and maybe custom cycles/accessories.  I think Hale will go with the MC for that exact reason.  He always made so much of a fuss about other people being in the club's pockets and now he will realize exactly why they were there.  Was Otto already blind in the one eye or was just just all kinds of wonky?

They'll never be 100% straight-earners. Hardly a scene goes by without seeing Jax with a joint in his hand but there's a big difference between running guns to gangs in the middle of wars and say...running a little pot and a backroom poker game.

Even Jax had to admit the wisdom of keeping the developers out of Charming.

I dunno if Otto's scared-up eye was still good. It definitely looked like they were going after his "good" eye though and they described him as "nearly blind".

I guess we'll find out tonight.

Gemma teaches the doc that shooting is fun! Radioactive pee! Unser had the best line of the night.

Wonder how this plot will resolve?  SAMCRO the Prison Years?

Nah, it would be boring to keep them in jail for long.  I'm guessing they'll be in for one episode and get sprung by Hale somehow.

I had a bad, bad feeling at the end of the episode...I thought they were walking into a firefight.  I was right about the bad feeling, though.

Juice, normally an idiot, really came into his own last night...by capitalizing on his idiotness...which is brilliance. Too bad the preview showed him being carried away.

The Opie resisting Jax is predictable but one wonders why Piney hasn't said anything.

Hale's gambit with Zobel's daughter (I can never remember that scrunt's name) was also quite inspired.

Gemma and Tara shooting the car was awesome but Tara mock pointing the gun at the porn queen was better. Then when Jax asks her what happened and she feigns ignorance he says, "I love you" and her response, "You should" was the best. She was sympathetic for her earlier innocence but as an empowered, intelligent women she's down right sexy (Gemma too).

I'm curious how they will resolve the arrest sub-plot. Automatic weapons--especially in California--ain't nothing to dismiss lightly.

Polly is the skanky nasty POS daughter's name.  I hope Gemma gets her in a dark alley and beats her to death with a high heel shoe.

Tara is Gemma Jr. now.  I kept hoping she would be killed off on season one for being such a whiny bitch but I am glad they didn't.

I think with the Scottish/Irish mob hopping in bed with Zobelle that Samcro could just lay everything at the feet of the nazis.

We don't know yet for sure if they are joining up with Zobelle.  They may have just been gathering intel and covering their bases.

Seems the past two weeks have just been setting things up for the rest of the season.

Nice fight between Jax & Clay last week.

I want to know what the big deal is about Chibs' wife. If Gemma's afraid of her, she must be one tough bitch.

Was wondering the same.  Guess we'll just have to wait to see.

I always kinda wondered why an Irish dude (Chibs) ended up in a northern California biker gang.

I can't believe that whole Luanne thing!  I see a bunch of people about to die on there.  Only 5 more episodes for this season.

Ditto.

The Luann thing seems to really leave the club surrounded from all sides. They may be able to make a deal with the chinks but that's just waiting to explode when the guy Opie beat-up last week for the cocaine.

Half-sack really seems to be coming into his own as a strong player. First he defused the whole situation between Piney and the Niners then this week he's jumping out to protect Clay and lay covering fire (a tribute to his being a war vet?).

Yeah, last night was episode #8 of 13.  I hate these short seasons, but at least they are worth it.

So how much longer can they drag out this whole Hamlet thing?

If they try to play it out for a 3rd season it will be overworked but does that mean the series ends as tragically as its inspiration or will there be a reconciliation or will Clay or Jax being headed for the big clubhouse in the sky?

I don't see a reconciliation because it looks like the Donna incident is about to become public knowledge.

I think the season finale last year ran for an hour and a half, hopefully we get that much this year.  FX grants them some liberties with time, kind of like they did with The Shield.
